Publisher's Summary

5 days to save the world, 4 days to save her family, 3 hours to find the world's most dangerous double-agent. James Patterson's biggest ticking time bomb of a thriller is the ultimate test for a young CIA agent who’s been handed an impossible mission.

Agent Amy Cornwall excels at working from the shadows—until a botched field operation reveals dark dealings between her bosses and an informant. And a hidden plot by a terrorist genius that could kill thousands of Americans. Among them: her husband and daughter.

She has to go dark. The Division wants to erase her. And they know every detail about her identity, her history, and her family.

Agent Cornwall’s countdown has begun.

Get Ready

I am a difficult grader. In truth the overall grade for this book is probably five stars. Spoiler alert Amy is a cross section of Renee Ballard, Jack Reacher, and the Nowhere Man. The authors have infuse the story with so much suspense and just when you decide you know where the story is going and what the character will do, there is a surprise. I still have not determined if Jeremy is a good guy. In Amy, Mr. Patterson and Mr. DuBois have created a character who is human and mission-driven and you find yourself rooting for her. There is little doubt that you will be drawn into the story and find it hard to put down.

I think Amy will have a long life and the next book, if there is one, will be even better. My personal request, is that there is a follow-up/continuation. Her story deserves one. Please consider investing one credit for a great book.

Completely Unsatisfying

I never leave reviews on books, but the way this book concluded I felt it is my civic duty to save someone the time of reading it. The ending was so unsatisfying, and it could’ve been handled in a variety of ways that would’ve made it much more entertaining. The plot and characters relied heavily on worn out tropes that you can read in any modern spy novel. Nothing new to see here. Disappointing. That said, Ellen Archer did an excellent job with narration as usual.

Kept me on the Dee of my seat

After the first few pages I was hooked. I kept waiting for the story to end, but it instead got better every chapter

Intense

I am always looking for and rarely finding stories about tough soldier women. This was great fun and well done by the writers and the narrator. I hope there's a sequel, we need more of these strong women characters.

Excellent!!

Keeps you entertained from beginning to end. Strongly disagree with others who state it is juvenile and who do not like narrator. Can’t wait for next book in series!

Exceeds any, and all expectations or preconceived beliefs

A true James Patterson, thriller with such epic twists, and turns, and an ending to defy all others. Just when you think you have the story, even remotely figured out, guess what. You were taken for yet another ride on this forever, twisting and winding roller coaster of heart, stopping suspense and heart in your throat emotions.

Just as in all, truly great James Patterson novels, I’m sure this is only the beginning for the characters in this story, the latest in the saga of Amy Cornwall. There’s no way this is the end. Far from it, I would imagine. I cannot wait to see what is in store, and yet, I know waiting will be the most challenging thing to do all via a necessary evil.

One of his best!

I believe this was one of his best!
A solid plot, fast action, good narrator and the book held my attention for all the above reasons.
