À propos de cet audio

Only love can heal a scarred soul

Jessica Porter is recovering from a medical procedure that has left her scarred, both physically and mentally. Before she goes back to work as a TV executive, she decides to call upon the services of her trusted escort, Laurel.

When a mix-up at the agency brings Liz to her door instead, it doesn't take long for her to charm Jessica. As Liz's disarming ways help Jessica slowly open up to the new reality of her body and her life, Jessica finds herself falling for Liz a little more each time.

But can Jessica accept Liz into her life completely, career and all? Or will the pressure of keeping up appearances doom their relationship before it even has a chance to flourish?

Contains mature themes.

As someone who used to date an escort, it's super hard and trying. You consent to that person being open while you remain monogamous. They will have intimate relations with more people than you and always choose the job over you, that's just how it works. Unless you are open to poly, or you are poly, or are even willing to be in an open relationship, I never recommend being in a relationship with an escort. That being said, sex work is real work so never look down on those who do it.

That being said, Jessica clearly should not have a chance with Liz, that's her character. She's monogamous and that's that. Liz loves her job as an escort and she needs to be with someone whose either poly or open and that just isn't Jessica. Maybe I'm overthinking things.

Interesting but weird.

I really enjoyed, loved Crazy for You in it’s audiobook form. Angela Dawe was wonderful as narrator, really bringing this lovely book written by Harper Bliss to life. I really liked how sex work is @ the centre of this romance and story, i am glad to see the prejudice against sex workers, and especially escorts, explored in the book, and a positive message/outlook toward sex work come out of the Crazy about You. I personally believe in the legalization of all types of sex work and I’m disappointed and sad @ how sex workers are often shunned in society, so i’m glad for this sex worker positive book that really looks @ this prejudice. I love that this issue is explored through the beauty of love, desire, romance, relationship, & healing, enclosing the issue in a beautiful frame.
