I love the male narrator! He was great but the fact narrator just didnt do it for me. the story was good but not as spicy or dark as I expected. Still enjoyed the story but I might just read the remainder of the series.

Very repetitive. FMC doesn’t actually try to accomplish her initial task. Female voice actor was monotonous. The only reason I didn’t DNF was because it was a book club book. The male voice actor did a good job.

Story is okay. Just a note to the audiobook publisher, perhaps consider a duet narration for the next book? There were a lot of discrepancies between wardrobe and contradictions to previous statements. At one point, it almost seemed like I had missed a few vital conversations and the book skipped forward a few chapters, but nope that's just the way it was written. The spice is lacking in passion as to how it's delivered and for an audiobook there's not enough dialogue to make it feel like you're being immersed in the story.

The lack of effort on the narrator's part to distinguish between male and female voices.

Pros: interesting world, hot scenes, strong female main character, male voice actor basically is the main reason to keep listening.
Cons: female main character voice actor. For the next book please choose someone else. Her voice is robotic, cold, and doesn't hold any emotions tied to the words said. I had a hard time keeping with the story at her parts.
Don't know if I will pick up book 2 whenever that comes out. I feel lukewarm to the whole story.
