Publisher's Summary

I just moved in with my billionaire best friend (and secret crush), Oliver Humphries.

He’s the all-star. The jock. The golden boy.

And I’m no match.

I’m the nerdy, frizzy-haired, not-so-skinny friend.

The moment I met him at 14, I was in L-O-V-E.

I’m under no illusion I stand a chance.

Living with him?

Not a problem.

In fact, it’s a brilliant idea. I’m good at hiding my feelings.

Until I play “Truth or Dare” with him.

Oh, good grief!

Did I just tell him I want him to be my first?

A sexy friends-to-lovers romance from USA Today best-selling author Jolie Day! Come see what happens when the alpha male and the geeky girl next door collide. Literally. Stand-alone romance, no cliff-hanger. Jolie Day is team HEA.

Oliver & Laney! Oh, so hot!🔥

What happens when your life is turned upside down and you're forced to move in with your lifelong crush/best friend? Well, eggs go splat, solo renditions of Aretha Franklin are overhead (busted!), and poor Laney gets an eyeful of Oliver walking around half-naked. I died laughing so many times. The dynamic between Laney and her friend Lisa was hilarious and genuine (what a true friendship would be like). Laney struggled with her weight when she was younger, but as she grew older, she became a self-confident woman who owned her beautiful curves! Something I truly enjoyed. Sure, she had her hang-ups where Oliver was concerned, but it all boiled down to the type of women she’d seen him date over the years.

I don't want to give anything away, but this story is a must read! Not only is it fun, hilarious at times, and hot, but it's heartwarming and gives you all the feels. I loved it! I listened to the narration, too. Jason Clarke is *always* a one-click purchase for me. LADIES!! You have to hear him narrate Oliver. Swoon-worthy is all I gotta say. Phew... Five+ stars 🌟

Love it 💞

Ok this book took me back to HS . You always remember you first crush and the crazy things you did to get their attention and how 99% it seem to always backfire... Yep, I remember those days.. LoL
Oliver and Lani, she was the chubby nerd and he was the hot guy who got any and all the girls.. Typical crush story.. It was cute and playful and yes I did pick this book cause of the narrator. You can never go wrong with Jason and Samantha is great as well.. So it’s definitely worth a listen...

Payoff was meh

I liked the premise and overall story but the payoff was lackluster. Also, he was such a-hole to her so I felt like he should have had more of a grand gesture and acknowledge how bad he made her feel. That was all glossed over. Narration by Jason was phenomenal as always but I didn’t like Samantha’s “male” voice.

Oliver & Laney

This is a “new to me” author. I purchased this book because the blurb was enticing and I love a good friends-to-lovers trope! My feelings the first 50%ish of the book: The relationship between Laney and Oliver felt strained from the outset and the only reason you knew they were BFFs was because they told you so over and over. Oliver was this clueless man whore, often self-centered and honestly, not very likable to me. Lanie lacked confidence and a backbone. She was painfully introverted and so utterly consumed with work that she didn’t allow herself to have a good time for the most part. You could see little glimpses of who she could be if she would just let go a little. The last 50%: Things finally started picking up and Laney gained some much needed confidence. The MCs continued lying to themselves and each other about what they really were/wanted to be. Same ole song and dance. However, the last leg of the story was considerably more enjoyable as these two finally opened up and fought for what they really wanted - EACH OTHER! Great narration. Good story.

Waste of a credit, juvenile junk

This was so silly and juvenile, the main characters acted like two high schoolers going back and forth. Don’t waste your time on this. By the last hour of the book I was listening at 2.5 speed just trying to hurry and make it end

Enjoyed

Not trading this one in. Cute story line. Could have gone deeper but overall I enjoyed the book.

More like a teenager romance

This book was like reading a teenager romance book. The language, the so called beat friends but not honest with each other. The immaturity of it all. Save your credit.

Has potential

I didn’t care for the characters since they never seem to really mesh. Spoiler it’s not cute to hear a woman so desperate and to hear her best friend getting a bj while on the phone with them when she needs help. To me it only got cringe worthy from there. They have sex and then all of a sudden he realizes that he is in-love with her shortly there after bit yet he is a man whore before her. No It just didn’t work I hoped that it would get better by the end but it really didn’t. On a side note the narrator Jason Clark is always spectacular.

Decent story

It’s a cute predictable story. I like this author. I would just like the author to note that 2 weeks in Aruba is not a “mini” vacation. Maybe I’m just a hater but I wish lol. How long is a regular vacation in her opinion? Haha. I’m nitpicking. Cute story still.

FL is a disaster

The female lead is a disaster. She acts like a 14 year old girl. Period. She never grew up. The “billionaire best friend” is a manwhore. Who wants to become the next in a long line? Especially after she’s been living with him and he’s had multiple women in his bed. Gross
