Story
Smart men never dabble with demons. I never claimed to be smart, but at least, I’m powerful enough to control them. When I bound Havoc to me nearly 300 years ago, I never realized how difficult he’d make my life, although “accidentally” lighting him on fire every now and then does bring a smile to my face. Havoc is handsome, mysterious, and somehow, my closest companion, even if we don’t always get along.

I’m a man with too many secrets, so the last thing I need is a new roommate with a sexy smile and blue eyes that see right through me. Eight years ago, Roderick left town after high school. We’re not friends. I owe him nothing. But back then, I let one of my secrets slip, and he’s the only one who noticed. Part of me knows I should run far, far away. But the other part wants him to come upstairs and spend the night. But if I let him in, I could lose everything.

I wasn't supposed to fall for my older brother's best friend. Unfortunately, that ship sailed when I was a teenager, even though Chase Hawthorne always treated me like nothing more than a younger sibling. Things were worse after my parents died. Chase was sweet and supportive, which only strengthened my feelings for him. But then he'd act like I couldn't take care of myself, and that part didn't go over well with me. Yeah, I had a habit of screwing up.

The father of his twin boys isn't who everybody thinks it is, but after escaping his abusive ex-husband and spending months in therapy, Laurence is done putting his trust in alphas. He's going to build a new future for himself and his sons, and he's going to do it all by himself. Except that emergency substitute karate teacher instructing his twins? That's the alpha he spent a reckless night with in his youth. His best friend's big brother. His lifelong crush...and the twins' actual father.
Publisher's Summary
I love my daughter, but finding out she wasn’t biologically mine is the best news ever.
I’m a widower who is too scared to have the stupid test that would tell me whether or not I even have the gene that would mean dealing with a horrible illness and certain death. A gene that could’ve also been passed to my child, had she been mine.
She’ll need her father, if something ever does happen to me.... That’s why I search for Maddie’s biological father, and when I find him, ask him to become part of her life.
What I didn’t expect is for him to become my best friend. Shane is fun and easygoing, the exact opposite of me. He makes me laugh. He’s the perfect antidote for my neurotic existence. And he’s bi, like me.
But am I courageous enough to take the leap into falling in love with him?
Dancing with Daddy is a super sweet, full-length, stand-alone, feel good MM romance. There’s no angst, just two very opposite men who befriend each other super fast then slowly find their way to love...all while parenting the precocious five-year-old who belongs to both of them.

Such a great story
Loved it. Didn't want to put it down. It was diabetic inducing sweetness. No sexy til right at the end and even then it's major sweetness. So that might disappointment some. I don't normally go for books that are over the top swoony and this book also has instalove which I also don't normally go for and there are aspects that might be unrealistic (falling in love with your dead wife's ex bf who she may or may not have lied about) but for some reason I just didn't care about all that. I loved it. They were a good match and great with the kid and she was stinking adorable. They were the perfect little meant to be family. 😍 MD did a great job on the audiobook as always. He did great with the voices of the little girl and nana and even the friend batista Mark at the start. However, the 2 MCs kinda sound the same but I love the emotion he puts in his performances and his voice is just so 🔥😍

The Perfect Sweet Romance
The blurb for this book states it’s a super sweet, feel good romance with no angst, and Susan Hawke gives us exactly that. This is one of those books you read because you want a book that will hug your heart and gently float you down a river of sweet, sugary fluff. If you want drama, thrills, and intense moments, this won’t be the book for you. If you want (like I did) a book that’s full of adorable kids, a tender slow burn romance, and a second chance at love, then this is definitely the book for you. Bradley is a widower raising his five year old daughter, Maddie. When a medical emergency reveals that Maddie isn’t Bradley’s biological daughter, Bradley’s reaction is one of joy instead of despair because it means Maddie won’t inherent any hereditary diseases from him. In a moment of reflection, Bradley decides to find and reach out to Maddie’s biological father, Shane. Shane is the sunshine and excitement that Bradley needs in his life. Together, the two men work on building a family while slowly falling in love. The character relationships are definitely the strongest part of this book. The pacing of the plot is like a gentle breeze – we know that Bradley and Shane are going to get together and fall in love, but it doesn’t have to be rushed and it doesn’t have to be dramatic. Instead, it’s just a soft and gentle love story that is full of tenderness and sweet, fluffy moments (as well as a few really hot and sexy bedroom scenes). I adored this book for that sweetness. It was like a refreshing sip of cold lemonade on a summer day, and the perfect escapism I needed from an extremely stressful week. Michael Dean narrates the audiobook, and like all of Michael Dean’s productions, it’s very well done. Michael’s character voices are consistent and easy to listen to. The overall production was polished and met the high quality I expect from both Michael Dean and Susan Hawke. I definitely recommend this audiobook.

Feel Good Book
Sometimes you are looking for a low angst, sweet book and this one fits the bill. While the plot is pretty far fetched, it's just realistic enough to be possible. It's sweet and cute and Maddie and her Daddies are adorable. Its a bit of a slow burn, with a quick finish at the end. It takes place over several months time. Michael Dean is fabulous as usual, and does a great voice for both the Dads and the women and of course little Maddie. Susan Hawke is a favorite author of mine, and while I enjoy her kink novels probably a little better because I like Daddy kink, this type of Daddy was fantastic as well.

I could not stand the stand the performance
The performance is so excruciatingly sugary, it's like a bad sitcom from the 80's..It is so bad that I can't stand to wait to see if the story is actually well-written. I really don't like to pan books, but this performance is so over the top that I have to go no further, and I am only a few minutes into the first chapter.

I really enjoyed this story. The story was simple but beautiful, and it hit all the fils. My favorite part was the way the story protrude a healthy relationship. If you are looking for a book with a lot of drama and a complicated story plot, this book is not for you. If you are looking for a sweet romance with and fresh intrigue, this story is definitely for you. I will definitely listen to this book again.

Dancing with Daddy
I needed this book after the last one. I love that most MM romances that I have read there has been little to no drama. I can’t tell you how refreshing that is. Bradley is a sweet character and I can’t help but melt for the way that he loves his little girl. The revelation he has would have broken many others but for him it was a god send and you can’t help but see it from his point of view as well. Shane is unique and character he brings the fun and helps Brad not be so stuffy. He shows Brad and Maddie how to have fun. But he is also a hard worker which is what I enjoyed. He is more than just one thing. When he finds out his role in Brad and Maddie’s life he roles with it, with joy and happiness. Maddie is a cute child who like her father just goes with the flow but asks all the important question. I very much enjoyed this families story. Michael Dean is a great narrator, I think it’s great that he can give voice to a child, and to an older woman and yet still sound smexy.

Sweet and moving
As is the case with Susan Hawke's audiobooks, I couldn't wait to get my, erm, ears on this one. The blurb for Dancing with Daddy was exactly the sort that tickles my fancy, and I quite enjoyed the story of two men who go from strangers to friends to lovers and are tied by their love for a woman they'd lost in different ways and for the little girl that was their world. Bradley Weston (34) and Shane Jackson (29) were a study in contrasts, and that, along with their middle ground, aka five-year-old Maddie, made me curious as to how they would make their unexpected family unit work. Surprisingly, there wasn't a whole lot of angst and no conflict as far as the main characters are concerned. I loved the unique take of this single parent romance, even though he slow burn aspect of it was a wee bit slower than I would have liked. Once again, Michael Dean takes the narrating helm here, and he doesn't disappoint, almost as if his voice was made for Susan Hawke's writing. I liked the story and narration, and by the end of the audiobook, I had a satisfied smile on my face and a happy heart at how everything came together for Bradley, Shane, and Maddie. Dancing withe Daddy get four stars. ❤️

Such a sweet story
This was such a sweet story about a man that discovers his daughter isn't biologically his but tracks down the man who is and starts a family where it was unexpected. Bradley is obsessive over everything, but especially about what would happen to his daughter if something happened to him. Fortunately for him, Shane is just the opposite and with Maddie as their center, they become exactly what the other needs.
