Will just wants sunshine

As always the fantastic narration and world building. It really just pulls you in with the great historical and magical blend.
The new characters are a hoot and enjoyable!

And of course more screentime for Mr. St. Clair? What's not to love. Especially the way Christian Coulson delivers his lines.

Definitely had more focus on James and Will's relationship which I thoroughly appreciated.

The accumulation of everyone choices, of who to they believed in, who to they listen, and who they trust came to a very satisfying collision and I cannot wait to see how everyone picks up the pieces from the rubble.

Though at the end of it all, I could not help but think of Will as a flower desperately reaching and in need of the sunlight promised by the upcoming dawn.

The narrator made the story

This is an amazing book, the writing is mature, the characters are amazing, the plot doesn’t lag, but what made it a 5-star for me was Christian Coulson. A pet peeve of mine with audio books is when narrators try to do too much with the different characters, give to many of them different accents, etc… Christian does enough changes to the different characters to make them recognizeable but doesn’t go over the top.
