Publisher's Summary

Once, Sarah Bingham's biggest challenge was making her students pay attention in class. Now, after rescuing a wounded stranger, she's landed in the middle of a battle between corrupt vampires and powerful immortals who also need blood to survive. Roland Warbrook is the most compelling man Sarah has ever laid hands on. But his desire for her is mingled with a hunger he can barely control...

In his nine centuries of immortal existence, no woman has tempted Roland as much as Sarah. But asking her to love him is impossible---when it means forfeiting the world she's always known, and the life he would do anything to protect.

great book very captivating

great book and was very captivating it's wrote the whole story. I didn't read any information about it beforehand so I never knew what was going to happen next but it kept me coming back and wanting more. the book ended well although it could have easily be expanded into other books. I enjoyed it immensely.

i really enjoyed the story

the only reason it doesn't get 5 overall is the "sex" scenes are too drawn out for this male romance novel reader - which maybe unimportant to most of the readers.

Loved it

I absolutely love this series with the only draw back being that I need to wait for new books to be released. Dianne Duvall has created a new world and beyond with this series that I would recommend to everyone

Not bad series

I will admit the limited book description and negative reviews gave me pause to start this series. I shy away starting series with three or more books, because I feel like I've wasted prescious credits starting a storyline that turns out to be a major disappointment.

I will recommend that readers start with the Gifted series first. It added so much more for once you start the immortal series. It also makes more sense why the book descriptions don't really give you a good sense of the book. I guess adding more would give spoilers. That may have contributed to some of the negative reviews if those readers had not read the Gifted Series.

I will admit there ate a few similarities to Sherylynn Kenyon's and J.R. Ward's series but Duvall adds enough of her own twists in describing her world and characters that differ enough to make her book unique from other author's storylines.
