Publisher's Summary

Susan Sterling wanted nothing more than to escape her life...and her marriage. The family's secluded cabin in Kings Canyon National Park seemed the only place for her to find peace. But it took Shawn Weber coming into her life for her to find the courage to make changes. The budding friendship between the two women strengthens into an intense emotional bond, a bond that soon eclipses friendship.

Despite pressure from her family to reconcile with her husband, Susan can't deny the feelings that Shawn stirs in her. Susan finds she's willing to forsake her entire family for a chance at love with Shawn.

Great story

The voice over wasn’t great. Didn’t understand why Shaun had to sound so masculine. It wasn’t necessary.

But it was a great story.

Loved it! Been waiting forever ❤️

Totally loved every moment! To be honest, I’ve been waiting for this audiobook the second Gerri released her first in this format. As always Abbey did an amazing job but for few....it sounded like you switched the voices for Shawn and Susan. Stand up job either way! Thanks guys! Off to your latest Gerri 🚀

Infidelity rocks her world, LOVE ignites her heart

Susan world has been shattered. Unsure of who she is or what she wants the mountain retreat is where heads. Shawn has closed herself off for most of her life. They collide on a walk path which opens up a friendship they both need. Neither expects love. Gerri Hill gives us beautiful characters you will enjoy seeing their love unfold. Abby Craden brings them to life in this magnificent story of restorative love. I loved it and will listen to it often.

Good, but not best

Seems a bit overloaded with childhood trauma that isn't really flushed out. Gets a bit steamy about 2/3rds through. Narrator is always great. Follows a bit of the normal Geri Hill formula, which is fine, just a bit less steamy than others.

Loved it

Loved Dawn of Change. The story flowed well. I always love how Gerri's characters fall in love with each other slowly and naturally, sometimes without realizing they've fallen in love. It was a funny and feel good story, despite the annoying, judgemental family members.

Enjoyed the story and the narration

I enjoyed the two well developed, mature characters, the interesting family dynamics and the setting. And then, there’s Alex the dog. I loved him.

Couldn’t stop listening!

Started listening with the intent of only doing several chapters a day. Ended up listening to the entire 6hours in one setting.

Loved the character development. Although a tad predictable, the unfolding of the story kept me hooked.

Glad I finished it

The beginning was so slow starting, rather bland and filled with excessive hurt/comfort through the exposition. Didn't get past the beginning until my third stab at it. But glad I did. As the story warmed up, humor and interesting plotting came around, good characterizations and a story I found heartwarming.

1st book of this type & It was awesome!

The author totally pulls you into a story of so much emotional connection & passion that you get completely lost. This is my first time reading a lesbian based book but I could relate in so many ways to these characters and just the basic connections two people can share while falling in love.
