Disliked the narrator’s inability to pronounce words ending in TH. Really pulled me out of the story

We follow Max who has some dark thoughts and desires often followed with voice that keeps telling him to do it. After inviting a working girl into his hotel room, Max is left with answering one question: How to dispose of a body. This is an extreme horror with vivid scenes not for everyone. Check trigger warnings.

Basically… I agree with most of the reviews… I like shock and gore and horror… but this was SO much.. way too much… especially the pregnant fiancé part.

The narrator isn’t my favourite, but he’s decent. I’ve definitely heard worse. (I’m just really picky about what I can listen to, if I don’t like the voice, I cannot listen to the book. lol) absolutely nothing against the narrator himself :)

Gore porn… literally.

The imagination of author Jonathan Sixtos - writing as "Jon Athan" - is clearly pretty sick. He relates a story about an unassuming man with violent homicidal fantasies.. murdering a prostitute and attempting various methods of getting rid of the body. At the same time, he enlists a mysterious (imaginary?) companion to assist him & dreams of violently murdering his fiancée and random homeless people.. all described in horrifyingly gruesome detail. The book is pretty juvenile but viscerally affecting (+/- sickening).

As to presentation: Jamal West is an "adequate" reader - providing professional narration but with an oddly lighthearted but clinical tone. The recording is of decent quality.

Altogether, 'Dead Body Disposal' is a creative cinematically graphic book that rates 5.5 stars out of 10. It's not this author's best work, but a reasonable shiver-inducing distraction for free. If Audible asks for a Credit, however, save it for something else.

[Note: Athan clearly took some undergraduate anatomy courses.. his detail is spot-on]

first off, I am a horror hound. I LOVE horror. this? is senseless violence and gore that leads no where. no real story and the minimal story line was over predictable. i am all for shock, pushing and burning the lines. I don't know what else to say
