About this listen
Soon to be a major motion picture sequel to Murder on the Orient Express with a screenplay by Michael Green, directed by and starring Kenneth Branagh alongside Gal Gadot and Armie Hammer - coming September 17, 2021!
Beloved detective Hercule Poirot embarks on a journey to Egypt in one of Agatha Christie’s most famous mysteries.
The tranquility of a luxury cruise along the Nile was shattered by the discovery that Linnet Ridgeway had been shot through the head. She was young, stylish, and beautiful. A girl who had everything...until she lost her life.
Hercule Poirot recalled an earlier outburst by a fellow passenger: “I’d like to put my dear little pistol against her head and just press the trigger.” Yet under the searing heat of the Egyptian sun, nothing is ever quite what it seems.
A sweeping mystery of love, jealousy, and betrayal, Death on the Nile is one of Christie’s most legendary and timeless works.
“Death on the Nile is perfect.” (The Guardian)
“One of her best.... First rate entertainment.” (Kirkus Reviews)

The story was slow to start but in the end was written very well. Many unexpected turns in the story.

Great story and fantastic narration
Really enjoyed Davis Suchet’s ability to capture the personality of so many characters and particularly Poirots calm, poised and specific cadence. Was a joy to listen to and helpful that the voices were kept consistent; as there are many characters to remember.

twisting story but struggled with narration
the narrator was good at doing different voices, but the rise and fall of his speaking caused me to continually change the volume of the recording to the point where it was frustrating

The performance is Awesome!
Love Agatha Christie who’s done it novels. But the performance of David Suchet was truly Awesome! Each character had their own personality and accent. Just a fun novel to listen to.

Loved it
Amazing performance, classic story. The ending was a little predictable but it was thoroughly enjoyable. The narrator really brought it to life.
