Publisher's Summary

Howard Zinn’s A People’s History of the United States has sold over 2.5 million copies and is still required reading in some high school and college classrooms. But its polemic rewriting of American history as a story of oppression is an agenda-driven fairy tale that has no place in academia. In Debunking Howard Zinn, Mary Grabar debunks Howard Zinn’s lies and traces the damage his mega-bestseller has done to American education, culture, and politics.

Need to read!

When I started this book I found it to be very interesting. But what I found to be really interesting was the amount of books I ending up getting as I was going through this book. Listening to books like Frederick Douglass, Christopher Columbus diaries, The Devil and Karl Marx, and The Naked Communist gave me a much larger understanding of the pure communist propaganda Zinn pushed. I recommend this book, but also get ahold of other material that helps fill in a lot of gaps this book didn't cover.
