This book is incredibly cleverly crafted from beginning to end. I did not expect the ending and it was full of twists and turns and kept me guessing throughout. I’ve become a loyal fan of William Landay. The narrator is top notch. He is able to voice so many characters! I highly recommend this book!

There were some parts that were a little repetitive and boring but that ending made it all worth it. I cried for the first time in my life listening to a book. I almost want to listen to it all over again.

Love the actors in the show, but the novel is better as it gives a more interesting telling of the characters and how their stories unfold. The best in the last third of the book. Love that the narrator is a former prosecutor and the defendant's father, which was helped by the author being a former prosecutor. Gave a very interesting perspective. Glad I read it before watching the show, but made the changes they made in the show more frustrating to watch. But the actors played their parts well!

I loved this book “Defending Jacob”! I could not stop listening! The narration was great as was the story. I was not expecting the ending at all. I would definitely recommend this book.

Amazing book and great storytelling. Found the narrators voice of Jacob was a bit too childlike and was annoyed by the constant references of womens’ weight throughout the book but otherwise really enjoyed and would love to read more books like it!

Not gonna lie it's thrilling from the start but has some looooong boring chapters.But the ending is so conflicting and shocking can't get over it!
