New York Times best-selling author Joanne Fluke will leave listeners hungry for more with this, her best recipe for murder yet. Devil’s Food Cake Murder finds the residents of Lake Eden, Minnesota, buzzing with activity. Perhaps busiest of all is Hannah Swensen, proprietor of The Cookie Jar, who is experimenting with a devil’s food cake recipe. But no matter how hectic times may be, Hannah can always find time to help a friend—particularly a dead one.

I'm a little sad with this installment it was hard to figure out the names between who actually was victim and killer, plus taking a bit of a pause what the ever living... Norman I get the love triangle I understand but you need to buck up and sort your feelings. I'm still rooting for you but I'm beside myself with your choices in life right now

As I make my way through the Hannah series, this was easily the worst instalment to date. The story was so disorganized and contrived it was literally unbearable. - at several points I wanted to walk away. The love triangle is getting exhausting and even Hannah is getting irritating - obviously, she is the only person with an education in bumpkin-filled Lake Eden. And please find a new phrase to replace "That's right!!" - At this point, the only reason I would continue with the series is my own OCD about leaving something unfinished. What a waste of an Audible credit!
