A behind the scenes look at the inner workings of Vanity Fair as the narrator climbs from assistant to deputy editor - the writers, celebrities, and his various misadventures. I didn’t want this book to end! I look forward to re-visiting many of the Vanity Fair articles he mentions throughout the book. Highly recommend!

If you think the subject is as significant as does the author, you will find the book entertaining and rewarding. Not surprisingly, given his 25 years at VF. Others may roll their eyes as he waxes ecstatic over a new boutique hotel or his own drunken pub crawl. A nugget of social history, though less than earth shatteringly significant.
