Publisher's Summary
Dirty rich one night stand.
That's all it was supposed to be. Her. Him. Pleasure. And then a fast good-bye. He's a stranger. And yet he's not. She knows him even though he doesn’t know her.
He's the powerful attorney, now world-renowned after coming off the trial of a century which was publicized across the country. And I'm one of the reporters that sat in his courtroom.
I watched him, studied him, got to know him from afar which isn't hard since I know his exact brand of confidence, arrogance, and wealth.
I know his type. I've dated his type. Which is why when I happen to come face to face with him, when sparks fly and heat simmers between us, I know what happens if I say yes to Reese Summer.
I know he'll taste like sin and sex, even before he kisses me.
I know he'll feel like pleasure and passion, even before he touches me.
I know he'll demand more than I wants to give, and yet, because I dare to give myself to him, the result will be deliciously hot.
I know that I will not leave his bed without being utterly, completely sated.
And I know that I will leave the next morning anyway.
And so, I do.
And so, he follows.
And as the chase begins my question becomes: Is Reese Summer the one or is he really just a dirty, arrogant lie that should have stayed a one night stand?

Strong and Hot!
I really enjoyed this book narrated by Erin Mallon and Joe Arden. The rapid fire, sassy wit from both Cat and Reese was captivating by their ease and fluid banter that kept me captivated.
Cat and Reese first meet when she refuses to react to the handsome and arrogant Reese rudely pushes his charm/weight around in her favorite coffee shop. Cat is a highly read journalist/columnist with a law degree following Reese's court case for her column. Reese a cocky-never lost a case- defense lawyer is captivated by the "take no prisoners" and mind your manners reprimand from Cat. She has seen his type of arrogance before, she's even tried to stay away from it. He's handsome, sexy as hell, and takes what he wants despite the fact they're attracted to one another, they both feel a "get it out of your system one night rendez vous" will alleviate the sexual tension. When one night turns to two, then three, the impartial columnist, finds it difficult to observe from outside the bubble.
I love a rapid fire, sassy, back talking, witty banter between a strong intelligent woman and a sinfully sexy and equally intelligent man, and this book captures their dynamic wonderfully as the story reveals the truths in the trial and between their strong feelings for one another. So much so, I'm grabbing the next book in this series.

I PLEAD GUILTY TO LOVING THIS COURTROOM COURTSHIP
.... and all books written by Lisa Renee Jones.
As the sparks fly in the Coffee Shop sexy, charming, successful Attorney Reese Summer is instantly intrigued by the beautiful feisty spitfire waiting in line behind him but, rather than being impressed by the cocky gorgeous confident man cutting in front of her, Journalist/Author Cat is all kinds of hot and bothered. She knows him and his type, she’s been watching him in court.. and she’s felt firsthand, the devastation that powerful men like him can bring into your life. However, a one-and-done night is on this couple’s horizon.. and one will lead to a two-and-positively-done night.. and then into many more - because this couple can’t stay away from one another and can’t say no when it comes to each other.. but shhhh.. they can’t get caught. As Reese is the self-assured, focussed, arrogant ‘never lost a case’ Defence Attorney in a high profile murder trial and Cat is the well-loved Columnist reporting the daily events as the trial unfolds. Cat’s supposed to remain impartial but, as their relationship and the trial develops, Cat gets drawn into Reese’s world and a very determined Reese slowly crumbles Cat’s defences and keeps her there.
This multi-layered addictive story, and its characters, instantly draws you in and what I really reeeeally loved was its pace as the pieces and players fit together during the trial.. revealing the truth, revealing the real killer.. revealing lovers.. and revealing a strong supportive couple very much in love. I also loved the fact that Reese wasn’t a manwhore with a long list of previous conquests, that there wasn’t any OM/OW drama and that the storyline wasn’t drowned by too much sex.. a refreshing change and the perfect balance. There was witty banter, sizzling chemistry, clever dialogue, romance, mystery, suspense, the Walker security men from previous books and lots of feels. Told in dual POV’s by two well loved narrators and Erin and Joe did an awesome job bringing this story, together with its characters, to life.. and together they made it exciting, enjoyable and very compelling.
Worth a credit? The jury’s in and I’m pleading guilty to finding this listen very creditworthy.. and I’m a repeat offender because I’m off to listen to book 2 now.

One and done....
The dirty rich saying gimmick is almost irritating, but only almost. It lets you know what you’re getting. And that is a good book, well written, highly entertaining and hot as hot gets.
The sex was not the core of the book, thankfully.
The narration duo is awesome! Their voices work together so that either one is not a shock, doesn’t pull you out of the story or make you feel like each character has a split personality.
Totally enjoyed this courtroom drama romance.
Well worth the credit!

Now that's the Erin Mallon I love!! ☺☺
I listened to both books in this series and loved One Night Stand far better than Cinderella and I loved Joe Arden too. The story was fast paced, interesting and the story lines and characters were great and I couldn't wait for the next chapter. I am such an Erin Mallon fan. She is the best. Do they have awards for audible...probably so and she deserves one if she hasn't received one already. Looking forward to the next book in this series and it better be with Erin and Joe Arden together. I like to thank the authors too when the writing keeps me interested. Thanks to all.....thoroughly enjoyed this one!!!

Great Story! Great Narration!
Lisa Renee Jones pulled me in with Cat and Reece's story, while Erin Mallon and Joe Arden performed it brilliantly. I loved how they brought the banter and emotions to life. The chemistry is wonderful! The scene at the coffee shop was great. I so enjoyed how this book was original, yet was plenty hot and had some great humor. The added suspense to the book was a plus for me. I really enjoyed this listen and can't wait for the next book in this series. This is a standalone listen.

great chick lit!
This book hit me right in my sweet spot! 5 Stars for Dirty Rich One Stand!
What struck me about this book was the "straight-shooter" element. I always love when an author writes characters who just SAY IT. "I think you're cheating on me", "I don't like your mother", "Lets move in", etc. It's nice to dive into a novel where the main goal isn't to frustrate the reader with wishy-washy, meek characters. I never had to yell at Reese or Cat "just tell him/her!" or "just do it!" They basically just laid it out there. In fact, I felt that the few times Cat perceived some emotional conflict or confusion with Reese were outlandish in light of his tell-it-like-it-is personality.
Also, I really loved Cat. I relate to her on multiple levels. She's a lawyer who abandoned the law to actually BE HAPPY! SAME, girl, SAME! Unlike Cat, I didn't really have the financial backing to do so, but I still did it and I also don't regret it. I love that Cat abandons the law and finds a way to still be involved in the aspects about the law that she loves. I really hope she doesn't go back to practicing in the sequels. She writes a blog about crime, taking advantage of the alliterative "Cat" and "Crime" in its title. Ummmm, CUTE. I wish I was Cat. Yeah, she has my dream life. Cat also has a parent with high blood pressure that led to a major stroke, an experience that forever changed her. Yeah, girl, I hear ya. Been there, lived that, and cried all the tears. Cat and I are soul sisters, even if only in my daydreams.
Okay, now Reese. First, like I always have to write in all my reviews where the character is a lawyer, I really can't stand when the character makes this crazy good living as a lawyer, but he seemingly handles one case at a time. It really doesn't work that way. I handled up to 100 cases at a time, about 40 of them being litigation cases, and I had to charge my rent on a credit card most months. I always say that I just wish the author threw in a little more challenge to her character's job, and I feel the same way about Reese. One murder case does not a lawyer make. Not really. At least, not in my experience.
I have digressed....
Okay, back to Reese. Love this guy. He's hot, smart, tough, sweet, and emotionally present. He's got a little sister who constantly has to remind him to actually call her. Yeah, that's me and my big brother alright - a man too busy to even book a visit with me 2 months out! Another relatable topic for me. I'm all in on the Reese character.
I have to soapbox it one more time. I can't stand is when courtroom scenes are inaccurate. There's a hearsay objection in this book that gets overruled and is downright ridiculous. It was hearsay, and I know of no exception to it. Did it detract from the book? Of course not. But you know what they say: you can take the former lawyer out of the courtroom, but...
The narration was excellent, as I've grown to expect from Erin Mallon and Joe Arden. I love these 2. Erin Mallon has a way of making every story better, doesn't she? I think she's seriously my girl-voice crush. Same for Arden.
Here's my breakdown of the chick lit components' presence in the book:
From a scale of 1 to 10 (this is a rating of how present these components were, NOT how good or bad they were):
Romance - 6 (the book didn't set up a lot of big, sweeping romantic gestures, but there were some of course)
Smut - 7 (some good and dirty sex scenes and some very choice language)
Humor - 2 (I don't remember anything particularly comical about this book. Definitely not a rom-com)
Cat and Mouse - 2 (not much chase)
Rich man / Poor woman theme - 0 (this wasn't a major theme of the book, despite the title)
Sexy setting - 2 (offices, courthouses, apartments - no vacations, getaways or the like)
I can't wait to dive into book 2 tomorrow during work. :)
