if you like anime, this one is a great isekai following the story of a poor boy transported to another world.

This is a light novel, which means it's translated. That shows in the dialogue, which is sometimes a bit forced. The characters are all pretty shallow tropes who can be summed up in a sentence, and there's not a whole lot of conflict to be found. But it's a pleasant enough fantasy and was interesting to listen to. I don't think I'll be continuing the series, but it's not a book that I found offensive or annoying.
