Disappointing compared to the first one, still ok

I really liked the first book in this series because it showed a real struggle where each character did things to further there own agenda and the main character had to earn her victory, and had real set-backs.

This book on the other hand suffers from a Mary-Sue main character who gets by on raw power, makes poor decisions, but get railroaded through to the ending the author wanted.

Having said that; it's still a decent story and having the main character get their happy ending after being screwed their whole life can be cathartic. I found this book a bit of a guilty pleasure. It just could have been better.

As for Hollie's performance; there are a large number of characters in this book and Hollie gives most of them a unique feel, but a couple of minor ones sound the same as one of the main characters. She does get the emotion behind dialog across very well, but it's sometime hard to tell if a line is a thought or spoken out loud.

Amazing

loved reading these books. The narrator did an amazing job. I laughed so much hearing the snarky come backs between Nick and Nora

I love Nora

Nora is honestly one of my all time favorite female characters. She’s a fighter but is also a sweet heart. And of course the men were all amazing. I love them all

Awesome characters, Something for everyone!!!

I can’t say enough great things about this series. Vampires, Werewolves, Siren, mermaids, Magic, crime solving, romance, will trap all paranormal lovers. This series has it all and told sooo well. The world building is out of this world. I can’t wait till more Jackie May books in this series. This series only gets better and better and I can’t wait till the next book just to see what Nora gets into next.

Don't Bait Me

OMG nooo! How is book 3 going to end like that and not have book 4 on Audible yet?! Book 3 was sooo good. I am use to more of dark romances so it throws me off that this reverse harem thing is a total slow burn but the story is so amazing that I don't mind. I am in love with Nora'a story and the characters!

Hollie Jackson

Holly has a knack and a pitch in her voice that lets her define each character. I love listening to her. This was an awesome story from the first book to the last. I highly recommend it.

Should have seen this coming from book 2

I’m not into harem novels. I am disappointed that this series was not advertised honestly as what it would become from the beginning. I really enjoyed the first Jackie May book in this series. I’m sure that I will enjoy her books in the future if they don’t devolve into weird harem novels. I will be a little more cautious about reading the description so I can avoid this in the future. Hopefully the author will provide the courtesy of accurate information in the description.

EXCELLENT

Most enjoyable. The series continues at a good pace. Nora Jacobs and her team are doing good work helping the paranormals. Exciting action and very well narrated/performed by Hollie Jackson. The story flows smoothly and kept engrossed throughout. I hope book 4 will come out soon.

Don't bait me

I really wanted to like this book. Unfortunately it feel flat, it was more like a harem book.... a bunch of guys trying to get the girl. The characters started out fun, and charming. The series had so much potential, but seriously ended up reading like a harlequin romance novella. It lagged at times, rambled on and on about who is getting the girl, who is Nora's mate. I regret spending a credit on this book.

gotta stop this self blaming bullsnip

I really like these books. I even like the story but why in every book does the main character blame themselves all the time for things done to them it's very annoying
