Publisher's Summary

After visiting Nevada, California, and two apocalypse gates, Alvin was tired. With Gothy, and now Kuro, beside him, they faced necromancers, an undead army, and saved a queen from assassination. Alvin could only wonder what was going to be thrown at them next!

First, however, a vacation was in order. Returning to Green River, seeing the first settlement he had helped build, and revisiting old friends was cathartic. Alvin knew that he would not be able to stay long, as something was bound to happen to push them back on the road again.

Alvin had to decide where they would go next, and had narrowed it down to two choices - south into Texas, or head north and east into Colorado and, maybe, the Great Lakes.

Either choice would mean meeting new friends, new enemies, or both.

Warning: This book contains adult situations, in all their horror and glory, including but not limited to: sex, abuse, drug use, and murder. It also contains graphic sex scenes, which portray elements of BDSM and harem. You’ve been warned.

And my Axe!

Great story and narration!

Alvin, Gothy, and Kuro are back and shenanigansing like crazy! Deciding to take a week off, the gang heads back to Green River for a little R&R. After that - off to new lands, and new gates? What will they get up to next? Cough... dwarves cough cough

Tess continues to do a great job of bringing the characters to life in this epic saga with her talented narration.

This book was a fun continuation of the series. If you liked the previous books you will enjoy this one as well.

Note:
This story is Haram Gamelit and this book contains several explicit scenes with a more S&M vibe.

Loved it, BUT! To much filler.

Great universe, and one of the best narrators. But
more then half of the book was filler, but I do love the series, I just wanted more stuff happening. Seems you can add this book and the next one into one and you would have a great books. I will continue to buy Daniel's books without questions.

Great story concept, horrible execution.

So, I really want to like this series but there are things that really, really grate my nerves. I can look past the ridiculous sex/fetish/lifestyle because I can chalk that up to different taste and I basically just skip through it. I can even look past Tess Irondale's annoying nasally voice. It's the dialog that might make me bail on this series. No one talks like this in "real life". I get that it's a story based on the premise, but just think, how many times they say each other's name in any given sentence? I mean when you're talking to someone and they know you're talking to them, you don't have to repeat their name over and over and over. It drives me INSANE. Yes, Gothy. Yes Hero, Yes Mousey. It sounds so stupid and it's mind boggling how that made it past the editor and they thought, hey, that sounds realistic. The story itself is just meh. No real story progression considering they spent a great deal of the story talking about a monster that they didn't address before the book ended. I don't know, I'm thinking this might be my last Apocalypse Gate.

Good rpg elements too much porn

There’s a constant undertone of sex and innuendo even during the normal story portions and the love scenes really sidetrack the rest of the story

Another fantastic book

Another fantastic book in a great series. Eagerly awaiting the next entry, though I miss the zombies as a fan of the genre.

Love this series

I enjoyed this book as much as the previous 4.Tess Irondale narration continues to be excellent.

Love the story fed up with the long detailed sex scenes

This is a very interesting story I am just so fed up with forwarding through whole 20 + minute chapters of absolutely nothing but sex scenes.

Followed by like 10 minutes of talking about sex in every other chapter.

It wouldn’t be a problem if it was only a couple such chapter long sex scenes per book but it’s like one whole chapter for every 5 regular chapters.
