Quality narration for substandard writing. This is the epitome of tell not show with every decision and action described for action then discribed again for self analysis by the MC. Despite analyzing every action he takes or thinks about taking in agonizing detail he makes poor decision after poor decision followed by promising himself he will train harder (which he doesn’t do) then gets saved again and again by plot armour.
