Publisher's Summary

Please note this is not a dark romance.

When I found my boyfriend cheating on me, I did something stupid. Or should I say, someone? Because of that mistake, I'm now stuck in a world I don't belong in. I'm a law student. They're criminals. He's the Vice President of a MC. I'm a good girl with a strict upbringing. He's my ex-boyfriend's brother. And I'm screwed.

It's exactly what you would expect

It's okay. It's an entertaining read and it works for what it is - a romance. I'm glad it was just over 5 hours. I don't think I couldn't have handled more of it. But I did enjoy the 5 hours even though I had to constantly remind myself that this is a fantasy (not a genre, but as in it would not happen this way in real-world). I would say this is a good fast-food book. It satisfies something, kind of enjoyable when you read it, and leaves you feeling a little guilty for reading it. I probably will not be continuing the series but I can see myself coming back to it when I need a fast-food pick-me-up.

Lack of detail

Book moved very fast with little detail. There would be a paragraph, then next sentence we were in some other time, in the future, in a none disclosed place. Just a lot of hard stops and cold opening's. It's like a Coles notes type of story. I guess I'm not used to shorter stories?
Storyline was promising, I just wished the author had expanded on the scenes. The narrator did a great job, loved her performance.

Beautiful love story

This was a beautiful love story.
It’s funny how your life can crash and burn one minute and be wonderful the next.
Who says things don’t happen for a reason.

Meet a boy, fall in love, find out he is a cheating jerk, get revenge by sleeping with said jerk’s brother, get pregnant by said jerk’s brother, loose your own family, fall in love with this dangerous and loving man, find a new family who loves you.

This story was lovely, scary, funny.

Lover Fay’s sarcastic mouth. Reminds me of me.

Eva Christensen was really great with all the different voices. Wasn’t sure I’d like only one narrator, but she held her own.

Can’t wait to keep going with the next books in this series.

Cringe worthy

This is awful, the men in this book do not treat or talk to women properly. The main woman character acts strong but really isn't. The feminist in me hates this book...needless to say I did not finish this book.

the preformer has an amazing talent and the author is fantastic! i hate when half waybthrough the book they fight their love together, this book didn't have any of that crap! the problums in their relationship where realistic and the love you felt for the characters was beautiful.

Good book not blah blah type romance book

This is the first of this authors books I've listen too. I enjoyed the book found my self laughing at times. Then I consider it a great book. Everyone is so serious in the romance series theses days. After spending 15 years working in. ICU you learn to laugh.

WOW what a let down

This was not AWFUL but, if you are looking for a dramatic hard biker story pass on this one. The H was likable enough, but the h was unbearable. She was one second prudish and the next having a conversation with a naked guy cooking breakfast, REALLY. Scared to death to live in a biker compound, then her curiosity is soooo great she goes out in t-shirt/nightie to see what a noise is. I just don't think so. No real climatic drama just a plodding along story. Just didn't do it for me. Looking for a great biker story try Raine Falling by Paula Marinaro.

Awesome narration; Not all read

Would you consider the audio edition of Dragon’s Lair to be better than the print version?

Did not like finding portions of the written book left out in the audio version.

What was one of the most memorable moments of Dragon’s Lair?

Loved Faye's use of firearms when she saved lives in the Clubhouse.

If you were to make a film of this book, what would the tag line be?

Spitfire Female Rocks his world.

Sons of anarchy

This book is basically sons of anarchy. From the scholar girlfriend, main wife doing a charity or fundraiser something like the show.
The time is off with pregnancy first 5 months then 2 months pass then she’s only 6 months.
Yeah too similar to the sons of anarchy..

Set in Australia...

Other than the fact that the plot has about a million holes and the characters aren't really likable and any kind of way, the most annoying thing about this book is that it is clearly set in Australia but done with straight American accents. Lame.

Soooooooooooo boring

The “heroin” is a push over who thinks she’s strong and the “hero” is a controlling ass. Fae lets Dex take over her life without an ounce of honest push back. But “she didn’t need him or want him”He takes her to a MC club house , like that’s a good idea, when she knows next to nothing about MC’s and the kind of people who are a part of some of them. His turns out to be a lot like hells angels. She doesn’t want to be there but she stays because Dex says she is. Whaa? She gets zero respect for being the VP’s anything and Dex does nothing about it except say that anyone hurts her they’ll pay. Whoopty doo. He lets man after man dis-respect her and expects her to be good with it. I’m sorry she didn’t ask to be there he put her there and then wanders off not even a day into it and leaves her alone to deal. Really great guy. And she irritated me beyond belief because the author made her reactions to all of this epically ridiculous it was completely not plausible. I won’t be picking any thing from this author again. If you like scenarios where the woman does whatever she’s told to please the man this is the book for you. I didn’t get past chapter 7 smh. Glad they had it for a free listen and I didn’t waste money on it.

Do not bother

I have never hated a book so much in my life. I did not like this story, the writing, the character development, or any of the characters! ESPECIALLY the heroine! I literally wanted to pull my hair out during this entire book. And the performance was cringy. Seriously, don’t bother with this one.
