Rape is part of the plot

The story was good, and the world building was excellent.
I came to really dislike the main characters. One became a rapist, and the other became a rape apologist. I really don't care how extenuating the circumstances are,
If you enjoy books where rape is an essential part of the plot, then please ignore my review.
The narrator was superb.

Dnf. 2hours left of the book.

Why am I supposed to care about any of these characters now. So much promise and such a disappointing execution of the story progression. Trauma can make you do some crazy things but come on Rohan. I have no will to continue.

15+ years later and still amazing.

I read this series 15+ years ago and it was such a pleasure to return to it after so long. This series is what got me right into fantasy as a whole. I had intended to make my way through the series again and this reading has renewed that.
