Great addition to the series!
I like the overall layout of the story Brian is telling as well as the way he leads you through the adventure. I also like the breaks he takes between the characters paths and I feel they are better placed than in other books instead of just in the middle of something intense like other books he leads it to a good breaking point so it isn't leaving you frustrated.
I don't like how Ethan is helpless. He's giving far too much control to his spiritual ancestor which is making it frustrating but that's part of the story and hopefully this internal battle gains some traction moving forward.
Final note, please use other words than recounted for when a character is recalling a part of their adventure.

Sexy scenes slow the momentum
Expert narration surpasses the content. Third book in series, and yet the plot still feels like it's finding its way, under development. Unpolished writing style. Too many sexy scenes and conversations — they're cheesy and uninspired. Plus, they detract from the pace and the plot. Dialogue is littered with F-bombs. Characters are sometimes criminally stupid or revoltingly evil.
Across the three books, characters "couldn't help laughing" or "couldn't help looking" or "couldn't help thinking," etc. I suppose this might be how the author talks. His own speech patterns bleed into his characters too much. Thus, I cannot immerse myself into this fantasy world.

it's ok.
it's just ok. could do without the suggestive launguage. I get it... his manhood bulges. I dont need to hear it over and over. felt like i was reading 50 shades of grey..plus it's hard to tell just how old the characters are. I really liked the godling chronicles by this author, but this is so so.

Great story with one caveat
Great series. But. The author keeps putting in more and more smut. These awkward sex scenes between characters is completely unnecessary. I picked up this series to hear about a world of magic and dragons not to read about to awkward kids trying to get it on. If the sex was happening "behind closed doors" aka say they went to bed then fast forward to the next morning that would be 100% fine. But the terribly written detailed sex really takes away from the story. That being said Im still enjoying the series and will be picking up the next book.

Just trash
This book was just all over the place. I suffered through three books. All of which I returned. It seemed promising based on the synopsis of the books. I read the synopsis of all the books before committing to purchasing them. Several times actually. I listened to the first thinking maybe the second will get better and the story would come together better. It did not in the second or the third book. If you like having more questions then answers this is the series for you. If not spend your money on something more worthy.

Good trilogy using many ripped off ideas.
Several ripped off ideas where very obvious. No real unique ideas. Still a good listen. Oh wait still going on... hack writers these days write too much fluff without progressing their stories. yay more books to come.

Great story line
LIKES: the story line
Dislike: more sex references than I would like. Does not add to the story.

Enough of the horrible sex description.
The cheezy and unfitting description of lust and play. Its unecceseary, and unwanted. Exept for that I quite enjoyed the book.

can't wait for next book!
I agree with other reviews, Ethan's weakness is starting to ruin the story for me.
I'm also starting to find a lot of the dwarves storyline being sort of copped out, at least that's how it feels. I really hope that's not the case as it's very interesting back story and it add depth to the race.
Regardless of my criticism I still found myself listening every chance I got and didn't want it to stop. Very excited for the next book and I hope my fears are baseless and just the result of very compelling story telling with more depth than I'm grasping.
