A Good Suspenseful Mystery....

I enjoyed this story... and Simon Prebble's narration. The story had enough mystery and suspense to hold my attention throughout. Prebble is the voice of Francis' novels, the voice that brings the story to life. Other Dick Francis novels that I like better are "Break In" and "Bolt"... as I well know, some stories are better than others. Recommend.....

Another Francis Masterpiece

Dick Francis is hands down the best mystery writer. This book offers intriguing characters and a well developed plot. Then again, all of his books do. Simon Prebble brings it all together with his engrossing style.

Dick Francis at his best

Although his computer descriptions make the book anachronistic, his plot and character development are excellent. A very talented narrator makes this well worth listening.

Brilliant! (as the Brits say :-) ).

GREAT story, very talented narrator - with a compelling voice, thoroughly enjoyable listen!
I love Dick Francis books, either read or listen to the whole set at least once a year. Reading them is good, but narration makes the story so much more alive! Mr. Francis had such mastery over the language that I always felt I personally knew the characters; hearing his expertly crafted tale is SUCH a treat, and brings out nuances and meanings the printed word simply can't express.
I'm so glad he wrote so many books; it means listening to them can go on and on. Belated thanks, Mr. Francis! :-)

Great new adventure ... sure never thought people in the horse world could/would be so evil! Kept me guessing about the villian, entertained throughout
