NOT FAIR...I AM NOW CLOSE TO TEARS!!!

Beautiful story of race and aging. Little more than an hour long, this story was perfectly performed by James Earl Jones, Angela Lansbury and Boyd Gaines.
Just give it a listen.
Yup, still choked up!

Just as good as the Broadway play!

All of the narrators did a wonderful job working on this project together. Hearing the legends James Earl Jones and Angela Lansbury reprise their roles for this was the perfect choice. Heck, doing the project overall was the right thing to do. With so many people stuck at home -- most of them bored and need entertainment -- listening to audiobooks has become a "thing" over the years, but especially during this time, its popularity seems to be rising in 2020. This audiobook was fascinating to listen to and very easy to envision. Everyone did splendid, including Boyd, no matter how old they get. I'll keep listening to this over and over again. (I have yet to see the movie)

Touching Story of Friendship

The author and narrators do an excellent job of weaving a story of friendship between two unlikely people. It crosses many years and racial and religious divides. Very well done as an audio book.

Superb!

Absolutely lovely. Tear jerker in some spots — which makes it that much better. Legendary performers. I’m so glad to have this recording forever. :)

AWESOME!

Excellent performances, it had me laughing and tearing up a bit. I could have listened to it all day. I wish it was longer though. I simply adore Mr. James Earl Jones...always have. Miss Angela Landsbury did a stellar performance, as did Mr. Boyd Gaines. The whole thing was absolutely SPLENDID!!!

Just as if you're riding along

Hearing this book makes me smile. Love this movie! Feels like you're IN THE STORY as it's happening (the whole point of a good book).

I could see my Grandmother and her helper.

This book had me smiling and laughing as it felt so close to what my grandmother would say and do.
