John Lithgow is a treat and a national treasure
John Lithgow is a genius, but we all knew that. Whether you were introduced to him via third rock from the sun, or his many many serious roles, John never ceases to amaze and this is just an extension of that.
The audio book version and the print copy, in my humble opinion, are both necessary to enjoy the book fully.
If you pick up the print version, you are missing out on John's witty delivery, and if you pick up the audio book only, you'll miss out on that amazing illustrations.
Fun for the whole family.

Very well versed!
Fun way to be reminded of our very recent history. Hearing the book read by the author was a wonderful treat. I also enjoyed the addition of the background sounds.

John Lithgow is very funny, even when dealing with a serious subject like the Presidency. I'd recommend it as a way to unwind.

Distracting background
The overall poems are great but the background sound effects are distracting, overpowering, annoying, and too loud. I couldn’t finish the book due to the extra effects.

Mildly amusing
This was a mildly amusing take on the Trump administration written in verse with lots of cheesy sound effects. It repeats a lot of mainstream media criticisms, but while I am no fan of Trump, I'm not sure that all of the allegations made in the mainstream press are fair or accurate. I like John Lithgow's reading voice and his way with words. I enjoy hearing him poke fun at politicians and White House staffers.

Would be better without sound effects.
Lithgow has written some brilliant poems, and he performs them very well indeed. But his performance is overshadowed by the very distracting sound effects and music. It would have been much more satisfying to simply hear John read them.
