Awesome book

The characters are very fun. Loke Cuix or Cindra. But Merideva is the best. Her botched expressions makes me laught so hard. Like Caramel justice. Definitely worth the listen.

screaming crying and idiots

there was some potential with the plot ... but then it is nothing but dumb decisions, screaming and crying. seriously at least one female character in this book has a emotional break down every few chapters or the main character spirals (not totally unwarranted, but get old) into a depressed state to rehash everything that already happened.
I was just fairly disappointed with the way the characters that could have been fantastic got portrayed. I will give the second book a chance because of potential I saw here but if it is like this one I will not make it half way through.

Adolescent Fantasy

A virgin in his twenties bonds with two exotic beauties with perfect bodies, one of whom wants nothing more than to mate with him. Hmmm. Having said that, the story was amusing and fast paced, not a bad read at all. And as always, Andrea Parsneau gave another fabulous performance. A good beach listen!

Could have been great

I really enjoyed the basis of the story and the narrator.
Unfortunately the story writing makes it fall flat. It takes FOREVER for anything to happen. Plot progression is borderline nonexistent.
I gave up on the story when after 20 minutes of groaning, humming and hawing, and talking in circles I still didn't know anything about the new enemy that they started talking about at the start. FML the amount of umm's, ah's and oh's drove me crazy. Who talks like that except a 6 year old?

Excellent Narrator BUT

The main character seems to lack a brain. He is all but incapable of thinking for bimself.

Repetitively repetitive.

I liked the concept and the first half of the book. Once he made his first two bindings and started to plan what to do next, it seems like that’s all they did. Oh and avoid any way to increase the intimacy of the binding.

I got this title on audible and returned it.

Andrea was awesome as always.

Started good, got progressively worse

The author starts off strong; a big fight scene, setting up characters for development, and a massive betrayal leaving the opening part begging for more.

Then, it becomes hours of the MC being an absolutely clueless idiot, not understanding things to the point of incompetence, and when he finally gets people to explain things they spend way too much time doing fluff scenes that in no way progress the plot. He is so impossibly ignorant it made me give up this book.

Andrea Parsneau was great as always, but even she couldn't make a garbage MC more likeable.

meh

The immature description of female parts and over focus on that aspect killed the book for me. otherwise a decent dungeon core book. Narration was done well.

Get to the Point

My biggest issues with this book is the amount of time and text the author spends on filler moments that do nothing for the story. Every time you think the plot is progressing the author repeats a vomit inducing lovers moment that means little to the MCs relationship development. If the editor cut out half of the fluffed up sections you would have a great book. I started skipping 2 minute section towards the end just to keep the plot rolling. I hope the second book has less of those section and more plot progression.

disappointing

I grabbed this book because it was a book read by Andrea and it had a good story tag. I think that where the good part end. We all know the Trope this is, it may be worn but admit it that why we read these stories.
The problem is that is all it is, a good story line. 50% of the book done and all I can say is this is mind numbing slow pace with A weak / dumb MC.
I like to read and listen to stories put out by new writers. I read a lot on forums such as RR. and find quite a few worth being a patreon of. I like to watch the improvement and growth or the story and its writer. I won't tear up a new or growing writer, I'll give my Constructive criticism and thumbs up when needed. but this shouldn't have made it to publish for pay.
This needed a lot more growth before being publish for more than a dollar or two. It has, or had potential to be rewritten and improved on.
I normally don't write reviews but I waited till the next day before deciding to warn other from wasting money. But if like me you use your free credit a month for exploring new authors but like a weak mc, slower than slow pace of a well worn story we normally like. than this is for you. Otherwise I suggest passing it by. I'm going to see if he has other books and discover weather this was just beginning trash or a staple of his quality.

Another 25 old immature, ignorant, virgin male MC

Minor Spoilers,

Another failure in this genre. This had potential but ultimately failed. The MC went to school for 20 years to learn what? How to become a paper pushing mage, really? During 20 years of studies he learned hardly any offensive or even any really useful spells. Not to mention the style of magic is not that useful in a fight. it takes 10 seconds or even longer to cast a single spell.

With all that said the main failure is the MC. The MC is 25 years old but acts as a 13 year old, he is easily distracted. Oh look at that boob or that butt, is that something shiny, she has pretty eyes. Even in a fight when supposedly concentration is needed to cast his spells he has issues focusing. The MC never preps for a fight like when they were ambushing invaders the MC knows when the fight is about to start but he waits until the fight starts to start buffing his companions. Its just overall a recipe for failure and the MC never seems to learn from his mistakes.

The book is 13 hours and 24 minutes and it takes 13 hours for the MC to finally have sex and even then the MC tries to get out of it. This MC is the definition of being a loser which makes this book hard to enjoy! I doubt I will be continuing with the series.

Enjoyed Immensly

The MC gets the raw deal to end all raw deals, but never gets too down on himself. The dungeon core is a bit quirky, but what would you expect from a glowing crystal ball. The bonded that the MC finds are quite amazing and it is definitely a great listen. Thank you Bastian Knight for creating such an intriguing story and Andrea Parsneau for breathing life into the characters. I highly recommend this book.
