Publisher's Summary

The Boudreaux Series - Sexy. Intriguing. Easy. Gabrielle Boudreaux, the youngest of the Boudreaux clan, is a single mother of her young son, Sam. Running a bed-and-breakfast at the family plantation house at the edge of the Mississippi River, Gabby loves her inn, her boy, and her family. She meets new people every day and takes pride in the house and land that has been in her family for more than five generations. Blessed beyond measure, she's also lonely, although she would never admit that to anyone, until Rhys O'Shaughnessy walks through her door, brooding and wounded and the sexiest thing she's ever laid eyes on.

Rhys has been at the top of his game as a major league pitcher for the Chicago Cubs for more than 10 years. Baseball is in his blood. But when he tears his rotator cuff and has to sit a season out, he retreats to Inn Boudreaux at the recommendation of his cousin, Kate, to heal and work toward building his shoulder back to perfect shape, with only one goal in mind: to return to the game he loves. But he didn't plan on being utterly charmed by a devastatingly beautiful woman and her baseball-loving son. When Rhys' shoulder has healed and he's given the chance to return to his team, will he leave the family he's come to love behind, or will he stay with Gabby and Sam?

Predictable and boring

There wasn't much substance of this novel at all.The climax was weak and I was expecting more to actually happen.

Love this series!

There was nothing I didn't like about this book! The narrators are great! I absolutely adore Rhys & his character & all the boys & how much they love their sisters & how the girls quickly put them in their places.

Fun.

Perfect summer read. Light and fluffy. Zero angst. I'm enjoying this family and the accent.

Guilty as charmed

First the negatives. There was no reason to bring in the story of a slutty "friend" that tries her moves on the main man. It's also hard to believe that so many people would recognize a random Chicago Cubs pitcher (sorry Cub/baseball fans). Finally the one foreboding plot twist is flat and unnecessary.

The positives include Sebastian York's performance (a grand slam, pun intended), a child character that isn't annoying, a cute romance, and Sebastian York. Enjoy!

Awesome!

Have you listened to any of Sebastian York and Rachel Fulginiti ’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

Yes they are both brilliant narrators.

Any additional comments?

Another great read in Kristen Proby's Boudreaux series, this time it concentrates on the blossoming romance between the youngest sister Gabrielle and Kate's cousin Rhys O'Shaughnessy, I did think their relationship got into full swing a bit quick but other than that it was terrific cannot wait for the next installment in this series, another awesome narration by Rachel Fulginti and Sebastian York, now that man could read a phone directory and make it sound hot and sexy.

In LIKE with this one

Good follow up, nothing amazing though. I ALWAYS love Sebastian York's narration. Sexy, masculine and perfectly tender in all the right places. Will definitely be waiting for book 3, apparently about Declan.

AN EASY LISTENING ROMANCE AS KP DOES IT AGAIN

I love Kristen Proby's books and, as she draws you into the close family dynamics of the Boudreaux family, you become familiar with every one of their characters and love them all then, on top of this, she seamlessly entwines a sweet and sexy romance around it.

Gabby is a strong independent likeable character and a loving Mom and she deserved to find happiness in the arms of the gorgeous Rhys who holds no secrets, has no hang-ups and only wants Gabby and her oh so sweet 7 yr old son Sam. He's a little bit Alpha and very possessive but above all he's kind, thoughtful and the perfect Hero. It's a smooth easy listen with a little bit of drama caused by the 'sperm donor' who helped to create Sam and some tears when there was a miscommunication leading to misunderstandings. Dual POV, good narration and a plot that brings the whole of the Boudreaux family in as well as other likeable characters. There's also passion, lust, sex and romance..... which all leads to a little blue Tiffany's box.

Worth a credit? Yes, and I haven't yet found a Kristen Proby book that wasn't either a 4 or 5 star listen and are always creditworthy.

Really like but.......

I love Sebastian York's voice but he doesn't even attempt the New Orleans accent. Just a little disappointing.

As always...

,,, Kristen Proby is fantastic!!! I love everything about her books

Gabrielle and Ryse"s story is off the charts. I love Ryse! I love that Derek Jeter is mentioned in this book! (I'm an upstate NYS girl)) and how awesome that Nash is mentioned as well! I love Kristen Proby's books so much. Now let's go to Montana! I need a fix! B
