À propos de cet audio

It's the eve of the 22nd century: a world where the dearly departed send postcards back from Heaven and evangelicals make scientific breakthroughs by speaking in tongues; where genetically engineered vampires solve problems intractable to baseline humans. And it's all under surveillance by an alien presence. Daniel Bruks is a field biologist in a world where biology has turned computational. He's turned his back on humanity, but awakens one night to find himself at the center of a storm that will turn all of history inside-out. He's trapped on a ship bound for the center of the solar system. A vampire and its entourage of zombie bodyguards lurk in the shadows behind. And dead ahead, a handful of rapture-stricken monks takes them all to a meeting with something they will only call The Angels of the Asteroids.

I read Blindsight first luckily and Echopraxia was very enjoyable especially when it crossed over to concepts discussed in Blindsight.

You need to be quite bright in order to understand this book. if you are not, this book will go way over your head because it is filled with so many wild and speculative philosophical and scientific ideas. There's A LOT going on in this book so it's not for the faint of heart.

Absolutely Wild!

I wish this book went on for ever. I'll been listening to this again and recommending to my friends.

Why did the book have to end?

Narrator is pleasant to listen to, provided he doesn't dive into any of the characters--the delivery of some of the characters breaks immersion. that said, the narrator was the redeeming feature of my purchase.... I listened to this on a recommendation from a person close to me, and am left wondering why I was recommended this. After 11 hours of listening, there is no discernable narrative as far as I can tell, and I'm questioning why I'm continuing to waste time listening to this. more of the book is spent world building than in narrative, and it often feels like the world building is being used to substitute for narration. There are nifty sci-fi concepts, but poor delivery of th relevance. I'd ask for my money back, but I'm hoping something reaches the author so they can live another day and write something better to make up for this.

there's more story in doomscrolling through tiktok
