Publisher's Summary

Ezra

Partying, dudes, and hockey. What more could a gay NHL player want?

If it weren't for Anton Hayes, my life would be perfect.

Not that he affects my life in any way. At all. That would imply I care what the winger from Philly thinks of me.

Which I don't.

Not even a one-night stand with him can thaw his misplaced animosity toward me.

He says I'm the one with the ego, but he can talk. He rivals me for most egotistical puck boy in the league.

I hate him as much as he hates me. Even if I crave a repeat.

Anton

When it comes to hockey, I'm all about the game.

I've worked for years to be one of the best in the league, and l've done it without splashing my orientation all over the tabloids.

My hockey image is one I've carefully cultivated, and after one night with Ezra Palaszczuk, I risk it all.

He's cocky, obnoxious, and has an ego bigger than Massachusetts. And okay, maybe he's the sexiest man I've ever known.

We'll never get along. Not when we sleep together. Not even when my possessive streak awakens.

That doesn't stop us from falling into bed together over and over again.

Fantastic

This was a riot. Rivals to lovers at its best right here.

Ezra is an obnoxious playboy, while Anton is a straight arrow introvert. They drive each other mad. They play for different teams where they like to battle it out on the ice. Until one night after a game, they end up battling it out in a very different way, up against the wall in Anton’s apartment.

No problem. Until Anton gets traded and they end up on the same team. Now they have to see each other all the time. Making each other crazy. That kind of tension can only lead to one solution…sleeping together on the regular on the down low.

One problem, the more time they spend together…the more they realize they may not actually hate each other!

If you are looking for a loud and fun book this one is perfect, you’ll be laughing and loving these two. 4.5 Stars.

I Wanted to Like It

I REALLY wanted to like this audiobook, but even after finishing it, I have no desire to listen to it, ever again.

It wasn’t that the story was bad, and the actors were okay…it just…seemed to go nowhere. I didn’t feel anything for either character, and I’m not certain if that’s a disconnect between the writing and the performance, or what.

Hockey heaven!

Loved the story and the glimpses of so many characters from several other series by these authors - like Easter eggs. If you enjoyed the CU series, you will enjoy this too.

Very disappointing

I love all of Eden Finley & Saxon James’s audio books but this one was absolutely horrible. I wish I could get my money back because I’ll never finish it.

best narrator ever

I love Iggy Toma as a narrator, I listen to books just because he has done them. This book holds a special place in my heart and I love it. Both of the characters are flawed but that is what makes them so great.

Fantastic!

Just finished the audio and it's even better the second time around! These 2 narrators are just pure gold for this book. So so good!

Oh I just loved everything about this! These authors just click together and create fabulous stories. We met Ezra in the CU series and I wanted his story. I just knew there was more beneath the surface to the egotistical, loud, unapologetic playboy. Enter Anton, rival hockey player. They really get under each other's skin and it was so much fun to watch them go from enemies, to friends, to lovers. Their barbs and quips had me laughing out loud. The banter was on point, the dialogue fantastic, and their chemistry explosive! I just enjoyed watching them slowly dance around their feelings and emotions as they started to pull back layers the more time they spent together. It was sweet, funny, and scorching hot too!
We also get to revisit with some friends from the CU series and get introduced to many new characters, so many of them with stories just waiting to be told! This was such a great book, I flew through it and enjoyed it from start to finish!

Ezra & Anton

Swoon! I absolutely loved Ezra and Anton’s story! It was everything I hoped it would be and more. So much so, I snagged it on audio and relived it in all its glory!! Iggy Toma and Alexander Cendese totally nailed these two for me! I absolutely loved their take in Ezra and Anton and almost listened to this in one day! They e were so on point with the witty banter that we’ve come to expect from these authors that I found myself smiling and laughing out loud at parts. We’d previously met Ezra in the CU universe, and I thought it might take me a minute to warm to him. It didn’t even take the first page! Ezra was a wonderful blend of ego, sarcastic wit, and confidence. Anton was equally fantastic with his own brand of confidence, ego, snark and humor. These two pulled me in from the first page to the last and I barely put it down in between. I loved their enemies to frenemies to lovers story and I swear I had heart eyes while these two fumbled through their feelings. I loved their super hot sexy times and the tender moments in between. There was so many things to love about these two as their story unfolded. I loved being able to visit with past characters we met in the CU and Fake Boyfriend universe! It was great fun and before I even finished I was asking myself, “can you already have a book hangover before you actually finish the book?” The answer is yes! Reader, do yourself a favor and grab this book, it’s not to missed!

Can't get enough of this series

YES, this book is EVERYTHING. I already NEED Tripp's book, please!!!!! More!

*cough* Okay, now that I've settled down a bit... I love this amazing enemies to lovers contemporary hockey romance. This book is everything I've come to expect from Eden Finley and Saxon James, and then some.

Enemies to lovers romance full of dirty anger-banging. (Look, to pass the various review content filters I couldn't use the phrase I really wanted to, but you know what it is.) YES. PLEASE. I live and die for the banter and snark between Ezra and Anton. In some ways they're total opposites, but in some ways they're so similar (to the point where multiple people bemoan "oh God, there's two of them"). I am trying to figure out what to even write in this review because it keeps just coming out like "Their rivalry is amazing! Their frenemies with benefits is amazing! The slow development of Actual Feelings is amazing!" Look, this book is just really amazing, okay? Stop reading this review and just go read the book, haha!

This is the first book in the Puckboys series. It can be read as a stand-alone, but prepare to desire the stories for EVERY SIDE CHARACTER. There are also some mentions of other characters in Eden Finley's other series, including Ollie from Deke and Soren from Hat Trick in the Fake Boyfriends series, as well as some spoilers for West's story in Puck Drills & Cheap Thrills in the CU Hockey series.

Better than I could have imagined!

I loved this story! I especially liked that it was a true hockey romance with detailed games and plays. The narrators were amazing! I was shocked how quickly Ezra grew on me. Yes, he was outrageous, but in the best possible way! And how he was with the collective really warmed my heart!

must read CU Hockey series first

this book was really awesome but I feel like if you really want to get invested with these characters you need to start with the CU Hockey series first because every person mentioned in this book has their own story and I feel like it helps explain some of this a little bit but definitely need to read those books first
