I've read this book, and have listened to the audio book twice. I was worried who was going to narrate this book, but it seems the two performers reading this knew what it must take to bring this book to life. I just listened to my favorite scene in this book and my heart is pounding. So epic!!!

Such an amazing follow up to EOTV. Bottom line, if you loved EOTV, you will love this sequel.

Like the first book, the story is epic. The narrator is exceptional as expected, and I absolutely love his portrayal of Gabriel. However, I wasn't a fan of the way he voiced Celine, so I was really happy that she was voiced by another narrator starting in the 2nd part. Celine's new narrator is female so it adds another layer of authenticity and realism. Overall, It doesn't disappoint. I thoroughly enjoyed this book and cannot wait for the 3rd book.

Overall great book, I really enjoy Kristoffs constant returning to tragedy and sadness mixed with humor and sass.

Narrators were excellent

I enjoy Jay Kristoff's books immensely. I am on a second try of listening to the female narrator. I find her difficult to listen to and when speaking in an accent she is difficult to understand and I find it a bit grinding. Unfortunate really has it is a great novel. It would have been better if Damian Lynch narrated the entire book.

This 2nd part of the series only gets cooking in Book 5 (about 2/3 of the way through). It was so slow and plodding (and repetitive) that I stopped and started it numerous times as it simply wasn’t holding my attention.

Stick with it if you want to see how the story finally unfolds.
