Publisher's Summary

It’s been over a year since The Day.

Morgan and his companions have fought to stay alive and he finally managed to get to his parents and bring them back. Their situation is getting better every day, but there are still challenges ahead of them.

With a desire to return to a normal life on everyone’s mind, the group starts taking steps to do just that. Thinking bigger they tackle some major projects that will provide valuable resources. However, there are others out there making plans for them as well.

While these new plans will provide them with a lot of supplies and the ability to be resupplied on a regular schedule, it also comes with oversight; something Sarge and Morgan are not going to like. But the benefits far outweigh the problems...or do they?

They still face many challenges—like Fred’s pregnancy—that are still potential disasters. There is little room for error in their world. But hard work, determination, and the bond that holds the group together have enabled them to make it this far. But will it be enough?

Character errors

Love the story, love the series, love the writing. But, there are some errors when it comes to characters in the story. The smallest are that some of the character names get mixed up. The biggest mistake is DHS Commander Tabour. Forgive me if I am wrong but Tabour was killed during the raid on the Elks Youth Camp when a beam from the roof of a building crushed him, and in this book he is alive and kicking. There is also DHS Torturer Neigota (don't know how to spell the name) who was killed by local police when he was spotting for a Cuban mortar team that hit the town. He is now alive as well. Lastly where is Judge Mitchell and his lovely wife. As stated previously, I love this series and will continue to buy future books but I would like to see you improve in the future and prevent such mistakes.

TLDR: book has some character inconsistencies from previous books but still and awesome book and you should still buy it.

More of same, little of new. couple screw ups.

'Little disappointing based on the first 10. An old character who was brilliantly killed in another book, has now shown up again which either means I know the books better than the author or that Sarge is incompetent. Neither of those is awesome. Some good new storyline and a few new really likeable characters which is great, but the screw up really wrecks it for me. Duke was a little off. Must have gotten Covid and got his voice messed a bit. All that said, I'll still get the next one, though. I enjoy the series.

Was this written by the same Author?

Some previously killed off bad guys are now alive again seeking a great revenge. It's all about the guns, guns and more guns,

I have read this series (the first ten books) over and over again and enjoyed it every time.

This book however, was a waste of my time. Sadly, I will not continue with this series.

it's like several of the other books didn't happen

same characters as the previous books, but didn't follow the previous story, so many inconsistencies.

Mundane and unnecessarily technical

By far the worst book of the series. Especially disliked the social commentary directed towards listeners against gun control part way through. It was too obvious and took away from the story. The rest of the chapters were as boring as watching paint dry. The first books in this series are however excellent. My advice is to stop at the book just before this one and save your credit.
