Publisher's Summary

The Arizona Vengeance are developing a reputation on the ice as one of hockey’s top teams. But one player’s reputation off the ice might just keep him from scoring....

I’m having the time of my life with my new brothers on the Arizona Vengeance. We may be an expansion team, but after notching some big wins, the entire league knows to watch out for Erik Dahlbeck. That’s me.

The only person who doesn’t seem to think I’m so great? Blue Gardner, the hot-as-f--k flight attendant on our team plane. I sure wouldn’t mind joining the mile-high club with her, but besides bringing me lukewarm coffee, she won’t give me the time of day. Whatever I did to rub Blue the wrong way my teammates think is hilarious. After all, we’re used to women flocking to us. #puckbunnies.

When I run into Blue back on land, I’m shocked to learn how she spends her time off: taking care of her handicapped brother. There are layers to this girl I never imagined, layers I can’t wait to peel away. And that’s a new feeling for me.

But first, I’ve got to find a way to melt that ice-cold stare. Because as much as I try to pretend I don’t care what Blue thinks of me, how can you not care when you’re falling for someone?

Another great book!

I have been waiting for book 2 in this series. It was worth the wait!! This was a great story and Erik showed his true, mature colours because of Blue! The narrators were fantastic! Can’t wait for the next one in the series.

Second Chance at True Love!

Blue Gardner is focused on taking care of her brother, who is special needs. When she took the job as a Flight Attendant with the Arizona Vengeance organization, she didn’t know that she would encounter someone from her past. A person that she loathes and doesn’t want anything to do with. She is forced to interact with him. What infuriates her the most is that he doesn’t remember her…
Erik Dahlbeck is a force to be reckoned with on the ice, but, he is getting nowhere with Blue Gardner. He doesn’t know why she can’t stand the sight of him and no matter how nice he is, she won’t give him the time of day. He decides on a different approach and finally she talks to him. What he learns about her has him intrigued. When he learns that he has in fact met her before, he wants a do over. Little did he know that his do over, will change life as he knows it!
The Good: This was an all-around feel good story. It made you root for the underdog in the hopes that he will get a chance to prove that he’s not a complete douche.
The Bad: I hated when Blue beat herself down after not answering her phone when her brother’s caretakers called. I mean, stuff happens and he was ok, but, because of the past, Blue blamed herself and her brother being mad at her didn’t help.
The Ugly: The breakup was ugly. It was unnecessary and the way Blue treated Erik was wrong. In this instance, she was so very wrong.
This story was full of unrequited love and second chances. The feelings these two had for each other were tangible and addicting. They were pure magic in their love making and they truly made one another a better person. Erik met Blue at what stage she was in her life. He didn’t try to change her for his needs. He instead, changed himself to be who she needed to finally let someone shoulder her burdens. Her inability to process a situation causes friction, a broken heart, and animosity. Will they find their way back to each other and will she finally see that she can have it all. Love does conquer all, but, what if you don’t allow love to show you the truth? I highly recommend this new series by Sawyer Bennett and get lost in the world of the Arizona Vengeance. Solid 5 Star Read!

Wow...absolutely wonderful!!!! 💕💕💕

I loved this story, I love this series and I love Jason Clarke. Jason has such a deep sultry voice when he narrates. You can feel his passion. I liked the character Blue most of the time when she wasn't pushing Erik away. He was so good to Blue.

Adding in the part of the story with Blue having such a heavy responsibility to her disabled brother and Erik's acceptance just made me love Erik more. So excited for book 3, Legend. More please and keep Jason Clarke!!

More HOCKEY PLS

After I finished Bishop I grabbed Erik right away because I wanted more of this Hockey world. Erik and Blue and there back and forth it is what I love about romance.

The banter, and then we find out why and it’s sweet and sad all at the same time. No, I won’t be giving you the spoilers just know that these two have a lot to work through and come out the other side better for it.

I love love that Erik got how important Blue’s brother was to her. It wasn’t a ploy or anything it was just who Erik is. I love that so much.
In this book, we learn more about the other players and I am so so looking forward to more books, there is one I can’t freaking wait for.

The narration was fabulous, then again I am a Jason Clarke fan. Hello, Ava Erickson kills it as well, she is again one of my favorites so it’s a no-brainer to snag this audio.

Adorably clueless

I loved how clueless Erik was at the beginning when Blue kept brushing him off. Despite the constant brush offs he was determined to find out why. I also loved how much Blue cared for her brother. The guys were funny together and they had some of my favorite scenes. I listened to this without reading the first book and I was not lost at all.

Narrators were such a great compliment to each other. They both have a way of completely pulling you in to the story.

Brilliant Performance!!

4.5 Stars Reading!! Narrators Performance 5 STARS!

Erik, a second chance romance, and book #2 of the Arizona Vengeance series, can be listen/read as a standalone as the rest of series. The story is well-crafted, sweet, captivating, intriguing and entertaining.

Jason Clarke & Ava Erickson's performance really brought this story to life, and it was brilliant. I enjoyed reading the books, but listening to the story was such a delightful experience. I love the chemistry between Erik and Blue, and enjoyed listening to their banter.

Author Sawyer Bennett creates and develops characters as human beings; she gives them real problems to face, decisions to make, interactions, and banter with family and friends, just like one have in real life, which makes me feel connected to them and their stories.

All in all, if you planning on getting this audiobook, think no more. Just download your copy and start listening right away.

Holy Hotness

Good Lortttt Erik is just...just so amazing. I love his big strong self. He plays Hockey so there is that. He is hot, sexy, and all the things! Andddddddd Jason Clarke's voice is like buttttterrrrr people!
He knows he was a jerk face in the past, but he wants to make it right, not only for himself but for Blue.
Blue is stunning and doesn't even realize it. She is selfless. She deserves better than the old Erik was willing to give her. Ava Erickson is the perfect BLUE! Her voice carried the emotions that Blue was trying to get across!
He knows that and he tries to give her everything and more. When Blue finally lets him in she has no choice but to fall head over heels for him. He shows her a very different side of himself and she kind of likes it even tho she tries to tell herself it can't last.
They have an amazing physical connection, but their emotional connection is so strong that falling in love is not an option, it just happens.

Light and sweet

Arizona Vengeance enforcer and former playboy Erik Dahlbeck has been wondering why team plane flight attendant Blue Gardner wouldn't give him a chance-- only to find out that she actually did five years ago and he blew it-- big time! Erik can hardly remember what happened then, but he is drawn to Blue like a moth to a flame and is determined to make her see that he's changed and that she should give him another shot.

I love how strong the female character in this story is and how sweet and understanding the male one is. I'm not exactly the world's biggest sports fan, but you don't have to be to enjoy this series. Yes, hockey is part of the stories, but the main focus is on the characters!

The narration was done flawlessly. Jason Clarke and Ava Erickson were perfect for these characters.

Erik is a second chance sports romance with in dual first person POV. It ends with a HEA. No cliffhanger, no cheating.

Love this book

I loved this when I read the ebook but listening to Jason Clarke as Erik took it to a whole different level, he really bought the character to life.
This is a story is about loving unconditionally and I really don’t want to give too much of the story away because a lot of the great feels you get from this book are from the heartfelt touching moments that you have to read or listen to with no expectations. . Erik and Blue touched my heart, they made me cry but they also had me laughing with them as I was drawn into their love story. I loved Erik with his his big heart, I love the Arizona Vengeance Team and I loved the connection Erik had with Billy (Blue’s brother). This is a story and the narrators will connect you on so many levels as you fall in love with Erik and Blue. Great Story and Great Narration.

Forgiveness, Second Chances and Love

Erik plays for the Arizona Vengeance hockey team; Blue is the teams flight attendant. He is immediately attracted to her but she constantly gives him the cold shoulder because he doesn't remember their encounter 5 years ago. When she finally explains what happened, Erik apologizes and begs for a second chance. As their relationship takes off, Blue discovers Erik is not the same guy she met back in the day; she begins to see the different layers of Erik by how he treats her disabled brother.

I loved Erik and Blue's love story of forgiveness and second chances. Their bond felt natural throughout the story. Narrators Jason Clarke and Ava Erickson complimented each other perfectly.
