Elle est faite de récits authentiques qu'on m'a contés entre deux plants de tomates ou en jasant sur la galerie. En gros, c'est l'histoire d'Eva, une belle grande fille, agressée dans sa jeunesse mais résiliente comme pas une.

On est au début du 20e siècle, et Eva va tout faire pour sauver l'enfant illégitime de sa petite sœur des griffes d'un curé sauté su'l crinque. Autour d'elle, il y a sa mère dénaturée, son père aimant, des voisins charitables, un docteur au lourd secret, un peddler coloré… pis un futur mari pas piqué des vers.

Ça fait que si vous êtes prêt à lire le roman d'une jardinière devenue conteuse, attachez vos tuques avec de la broche, on est partis!

Structure de l’histoire

Tres bien écrit! J’étais septique au départ, mais je fus conquise! Bravo Marthe! Bien hate au prochain tome et fiere d’etre de Bellechasse :)
