Good story, extremely irritating background music!
I wish I would have know that this book was narrated with background music. Absolutely not my cup of tea!!!! Super annoying and takes away from the experience of what a book should be.
I would like to have been informed. This is a deal breaker for me with future purchases. Hopefully the samples provided will prevent me from making the same purchase mistakes in the future.

Distracting
Maybe its not fair to give the book this low of a score, because the story is fantastic! I just found the constant audio in the background really annoying and distracting and the narrators performances to be lacking. I think I'll just avoid 'booktrack' in the future.

Music is ANNOYING
Hard to even listen to with the music. Didn’t even make it through two chapters, just hoping it would stop. It doesn’t add to the story.

Great story but...
The story was excellent! I never expect less than that from Nicholas Sparks. However, there is background music in the entire book and often found it distracting or it was loud enough to muffle the words being read.

Loved the story!!
I found the background music and sounds very distracting!! I’m not sure I liked two different narrators. Vanessa needed to soften her tone a bit and I loved Sean’s tone. Regardless it was a fabulous book!!

Couldn't put it down.....captivating!
The. story could've had more detail, been twice as long, and I still would have had trouble putting it down. The deep British voice was so very articulate, you wanted to hear more.

NOT a “Booktrack” Fan
I agree with other reviewers, the “background” sound effects and music were distracting and at some points almost made it hard to follow the story. If small background noises in life (life a buzzing light or ticking fan) irritate you, I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS VERSION. Some of the music did not seem appropriate for the mood of that section of the book (ie what sounded like doom and gloom music in what was supposed to be a romantic part to the story) and if you are a listener who likes to “speed up” your listens, doing so distorted the music etc making it horrid to listen to. The story was good but I was so frustrated by not being able to “turn off” the soundtrack (and not wanting to use another credit to get the non-Booktrack version) that I finished this feeling severely disapointed. I will stick to everything not booktrack version from here on in!
