Publisher's Summary

This book is a guide for naturally discovering the best feeling version of yourself. A guide that will help you see what it’s like to experience flourishing mental health, how to feel comfortable in your own skin by exercising the way that we have evolved to, as well as by making small tweaks when it comes to caring for our pillars that make up our well-being.

It will help you to understand why the “big guys” don’t want you to feel this way, what our bodies respond to, and all the steps that you can take to start fulfilling your potential within a matter of weeks.

Let me ask you to think back. Try to recall a time when you had just finished a good run, an energetic workout session, or a vigorous sports practice. Do you remember those thrilling and lasting sensations that set in during the activity or minutes after you stopped? I am talking about sensations like an exciting, slowly-spreading feeling of joy, that buzzing and tingling you get in your legs and stomach, or that great feeling that makes you smile uncontrollably and has the power of clearing out all of your anxious thoughts and worries. What if you could feel this way on demand?

About Daniel van der Poel (MSc. Physiotherapy, Bsc. Kinesiology): Health and fitness is my passion. Chasing the exercise high since I was a kid, studying the field of health and human performance for six years, and having led over 2,000 workouts, I have what it takes to be your guide in creating happiness through exercise. Being a physical therapist starting out during the start of the pandemic, I found it difficult seeing my patients struggle with symptoms related to anxiety and depression on a daily, all while knowing the best methods to get out.

In this book, I wanted to share how you can experience the exercise high most efficiently and effectively, show how repeated exposure to the exercise high will help you discover the best feeling version of yourself, and dissolve myths surrounding the complexity of exercise.
