Publisher's Summary

This is a sequel to The Crisis. In this audiobook, the assassin Poison, the former FBI telepath Delphi and the pink haired villainess Stiletto deal with the fallout from their previous adventures.

An extremely powerful superhero comes looking for revenge after a humiliating viral video. Also, they have to deal with their decision to wage war against the extremely powerful multinational corporations that rule their world from behind the scenes.

As in the first book, adventure and humor abound as Crisis and his friends try to live an honest life of villainy in a dystopian future that may resemble our own.

Excerpt:

“I hope that got your attention” I said pompously. I was looking around for more security or bodyguards. I found it hard to believe someone as wealthy and powerful as our quarry didn’t have a single agent or bodyguard even though that’s what our research showed.

He raised his hand and energy coruscated about his hand and a beam of incarnadine light shot from his hand smashing into my chest, burning much of the top half of my costume. I shrugged out of the burning shirt and pretended it hadn’t hurt.

“Well that explains why you don’t have a bodyguard” I drawled.

“The thing about a bodyguard more powerful than you” he explained “is he could very easily choose to take your life instead of preserve it if he gets a better offer.”

“Not everyone thinks like you” I said “some people when they take a job, intend to do the job, not just line their own pockets ‘til a better chance comes along.”

“Of course, your pathological sense of loyalty. We counted on that when we looked over your psych profile.”

“Only pathological in the eyes of those who have none” I shot back along with firing my wrist blaster with my right arm. The feeling had come back and the bleeding had stopped around about the same time. It smashed him into the wall of their bedroom, which was larger than most homes I knew of".
