Thoroughly enjoyable. Only the third book so far, but really knocked it out of the park.

Richard Ferrone does an excellent job of setting the scene of a gravelly voiced cop who sometimes colours outside the lines. He conveys an ominous overtone to the story which blends well with Sandford's writing.

Definitely stronger than Shadow Prey and more in tune with Birds of Prey in terms of seeing into the minds of each character.
