If there’s one trait that makes someone well-suited to comedy, it’s being able to take a punch - metaphorically and, occasionally, physically. Told with a healthy dose of self-deprecation, A Very Punchable Face reveals the brilliant mind behind some of the dumbest sketches on television, and lays bare the heart and humor of a hardworking guy - with a face you can’t help but want to punch.

Philomena Cunk is one of the greatest thinkers of the 21st century, and in Cunk on Everything she turns her attention to our biggest issue: why are there so many books? Since his first performance at the legendary New York nightclub “Catch a Rising Star” as a 21-year-old college student in fall of 1975, Jerry Seinfeld has written his own material and saved everything. “Whenever I came up with a funny bit, whether it happened on a stage, in a conversation, or working it out on my preferred canvas, the big yellow legal pad, I kept it in one of those old school accordion folders,” Seinfeld writes. “So I have everything I thought was worth saving from 45 years of hacking away at this for all I was worth.”

Hi! I’m Seth! I was asked to describe my audiobook, Yearbook for websites and shit like that, so...here it goes!!! Yearbook is a collection of true stories that I desperately hope are just funny at worst, and life-changingly amazing at best. (I understand that it’s likely the former, which is a fancy “book” way of saying “the first one.”) I talk about my grandparents, doing stand-up comedy as a teenager, bar mitzvahs, and Jewish summer camp, and tell way more stories about doing drugs than my mother would like.

Bob Odenkirk’s career is inexplicable. And yet he will try like hell to explicate it for you. Charting a “Homeric” decades-long “odyssey” from his origins in the seedy comedy clubs of Chicago to a dramatic career full of award nominations - with a side trip into the action-man world that is baffling to all who know him - it’s almost like there are many Bob Odenkirks! But there is just one and one is plenty. Featuring humorous tangents, wild characters, and Bob’s trademark unflinching drive, Comedy Comedy Comedy Drama is a classic tale told by a determined idiot.

Rainn Wilson’s memoir about growing up geeky and finally finding his place in comedy, faith, and life. For nine seasons Rainn Wilson played Dwight Schrute, everyone's favorite work nemesis and beet farmer. Viewers of The Office fell in love with the character and grew to love the actor who played him even more. Rainn founded a website and media company, SoulPancake, that eventually became a best-selling book of the same name. He also started a hilarious Twitter feed (sample tweet: “I'm not on Facebook” is the new “I don't even own a TV”).

Publisher's Summary
Actor, voice actor, and comedian H. Jon Benjamin helps us all feel a little better about our own failures by sharing his own - despite his success starring on Archer and Bob's Burgers - in a hilarious, self-helpful memoir.
While he's not quite a household name, most people would consider H. Jon Benjamin, the voice-actor star of Archer and Bob's Burgers (and a sentient can of mixed vegetables in 2015's Wet Hot American Summer) a comedy show business success. But he'd like to remind everyone that as great as success can be, failure is also an option. In a hilarious, self-deprecating memoir, Jon lays out some of his many failures in all areas of life, from Work ("wherein I'm unable to deliver a sizzling fajita") to Family ("wherein a trip to PF Chang's fractures a family").
Fans of his characters' signature wit and voice will rejoice in H. Jon Benjamin's comical failures - and appreciate a rare look into the life of the man behind their favorite shows.
What the critics say
“His craft, and what makes him such an inspired and singular voice, is to make it look easy.... That it’s decidedly not that easy is part of the gag; writing this funny requires immense talent.” (AV Club)
“It’s that voice.... Had me laughing out loud.” (The New York Times)
“Benjamin’s stories run the gamut from personal to professional and will leave you laughing out loud and embracing your own failures.” (HelloGiggles)

You MUST listen to this book! Or don't. Whatever.
Excellent reason by H. Jon Benjamin. Starts off, very... Meh. But, once he gets going it is incredibly funny. For reals. I laughed out loud (LOL'd, if you will) so many times, that j can only recommend this book for people who enjoy laughing and listening to someone who can and will make you laugh.
My only complaint is that the book itself isn't longer and that H. Jon doesn't get more into detail on numerous aspects of his life. I know that it's supposed to be about failure, but why not go into more detail about how you succeeded at life? It's almost as though he failed to create the perfect book.
Wait a minute...

Too short
Killed this whole audiobook in an afternoon. Immediately started it over. Given the overarching theme of this book, it would be foolish to expect a followup anytime soon, but a girl can dream. And then fail at dreaming.

A Book About Nothing yet Everything
Biggest takeaway from this book was that it was consistently funny from beginning to end. H. Jon Benjamin can just talk about anything and it will be funny, and that's basically what he did here. Is it an autobiography? Sort of, but not really. Is he offering advice? Not really, but a little bit. Does the book recount humorous anecdotes involving celebrities? Kind of, but not much. It's essentially just Benjamin telling funny stories from his life, shaded with his dry wit and incredible sense of humor. It was a pretty light-hearted listen and I really enjoyed it. I do wish that it were longer though because I wasn't ready for it to be over.

A hilarious memoir & up yours to success books!
I only knew H. Jon Benjamin as the voice of Archer on the adult cartoon series by the same name, and I saw him in some bit parts on TV shows. His memoir's title was compelling and I like his voice. This audiobook did not disappoint. I laughed hard and often. Also I found the premise of failure being an option in life was refreshing after so many damned Success Now or Success in 10 Easy Steps books. You don't need to be some huge success to have a good and meaningful life. H. Jon thank you for you your candour and wit!
