Publisher's Summary

Mirror, mirror on the wall, who is the fairest of them all?

Fans of the Lunar Chronicles know Queen Levana as a ruler who uses her "glamour" to gain power. But long before she crossed paths with Cinder, Scarlet, and Cress, Levana lived a very different story - a story that has never been told - until now.

Marissa Meyer spins yet another unforgettable tale about love and war, deceit and death.

Another great addition to the Lunar Chronicles - Marissa Meyer creates such great stories. Can’t wait to finish the next book.

Amazing!

The book was amazing! I love Marissa Meyer she is such a fantastic author, the way she writes is incredible. Rebecca did such a good job voicing all the books for this series! I felt like the voices she gave the characters matched my own in my head! If you like Sci-fi fantasy you will love this series! 100% recommend.

Great Writing Style But Really Hard To Read

Before I get into my review I need to make it clear that I love Marissa Meyers writing style. She has a way of drawing people into the story and making the reader feel her characters emotions. This is a novella from The Lunar Chronicles series, its the story of how Levana became Queen of Luna and slowly spiraled into the deep despair of insanity. There is no possibility that she's just evil. The way Levanas makes decisions is more than just irrational behavior She's delusional, narcissistic, and a complete megalomaniac. To be honest I really hated Levana from the second I started this book. Levana was petty and manipulative from the first page to the last. It seemed as though she was a spoiled brat trying to get her way all the time. She brainwashes the man she loves, essentially rapes him, and then cries that he doesn't really love her back. How stupid can you be, Levana? I almost wish I had skipped this novella because it didn't really add much and just made me hate Levana, but not in the good way. The only character I hate more is Levana's sister, Channery, who was just pure evil for no good reason. Reading this book today as an adult is way different than reading it if I were a teenager back in the day. Would I recommend this book to someone my age? No would I recommend the rest of the series? Yes for sure. This one was a miss for me.
