This book is wonderful. the first half of this book is some of my favorite writing, I enjoyed every minute of getting to know the characters and what their motivations were.

Stephen King's reading in this context and his performance were great (and not very long) I've heard some of the other reading performances he's done and this was the first one I actually didn't mind listening to.

the rest of the book builds up to a turn I should have expected, but was somehow still surprised, I found some of the direction predictable, but I was never bored by things turning out a certain way.

I'd love to learn more about the world and everything that King wrote, though in some aspects it was simple it made the details all that more enthralling.

the narrator does some scenes where you are not supposed to understand what the character is saying by only saying part of the word or a few sentences, I found this charming, but I could see people struggling through it (most of these scenes are kept short) but I think Numrich does a good job at keeping these blurred as far as he can. I enjoyed it, as it allowed me to become immersed into the story.

If ever there were a story that was meant to be read aloud this is it. Just like any fairytale, the pictures created by Stephen King's incredible words and the perfect narration by Seth Numrich were meant to be an auditory experience. I have never listened to an audio book more than once but I will happily go back and visit this world again.

So sad that it is over.

Couldn’t have loved this book more! Bought the hard cover so I could read it as well as listen to it on my long drives. Passed it down to my 15 year old son who I know will love it also. Great story, great narration.

Not since the tales of Roland have i been captivated by a book the way this one hooked me. ive become a large fan of audio books on my daily commute to and from work. This book has left me wanting more. More exploits of charlie and Radar. More tales from the land of Empis, More in general. it took Stephen King nearly 40 years to finish the dark tower and Rolands chase of the man in black, id gladly wait that for more journeys through Empis. the Easter eggs in this book and noos to his other worlds will surely put a smile on your face.

Master piece. Quite possibly one of his best.

I've been reading Stephen King since I was 11, in 1977
we were really poor and someone had given us a box of paperbacks. (The Exorcist was another one in the box and I sure was sorry I read that one. I'm still traumatized by the crucifix scene)
Mr K has been a huge part of my life ever since. I kind of lost touch after the Dark Tower series and got into a lot more feminist speculative fiction.
So much has happened to me in my life. Some things so horrific that I didn't want to carry on because the pain was too much. Books and films have given me an escape and dogs. In the last eight years sometimes the face of Gilbert, my Shepherd was the only thing that stopped me from ending my life. I was driving to Baja and on the way I had stopped at Stephen and Tabitha's house in Bangor with my dogs and when I ran out of all my other audiobooks I had for the trip, I decided to buy one for the rest of the trip and I saw Fairy Tale and Mr. K was fresh in my mind. I didn't know a thing about it, just liked the title. It was like coming home. Everything about it touched on something sacred to me. especially Shepherds and Monarchs. I fronted a milkweed planting initiative in my county to help the Monarch population resurge. I was in awe that someone else saw just how sacred and special they are.
Even the length of the book was the exact amount of time I had left in my journey. I listened to the final chapter while entering Rosarito. Something magic in his writing, the places he creates. He's the only person I ever wrote a fan letter to. The Seth Numrich was sublime. He really bri gs the story to life. Don't miss out on this very special place to visit! if you loved The Talisman as I did, you will love Fairy Tale!

I absolutely loved this book!! I cannot express how much I’d recommend anyone to get this book! I wish I didn’t read it so I could experience all of these new stories again. If you’ve not yet, please consider getting this book. Absolutely amazing!!

Stephen King.. what’s more to say?! This is a 3 for 1 story that I would love to see develop in a series! Touching, especially with Radar which you can’t help but fall in love with! I cried and I cheered! Just loved it!
