Publisher's Summary

The newest romance from New York Times best-selling, Audie Award-winning author Kylie Scott!

He walks the red carpet. She’s more familiar with vacuuming one.

When a scandal tarnishes the reputation of hot-as-hell A-lister Patrick Walsh, he needs a reputation rescue, pronto.

Enter waitress Norah Peers - a nobody who’s average with a capital A. She’s available, dependable, and has sworn off men for the rest of her natural born life. In other words: the perfect match for a no-strings fake romance.

For the right amount of money, she can avoid waitressing and play the part of his dependable down-to-earth girlfriend. What she can’t avoid - dammit - is the growing steam between them.

But being hounded by the paparazzi and having her life dissected on social media is a panic attack in the making. And while Patrick might be a charming rogue on screen, in real life he’s a six-foot-two confusing, gorgeous, brooding grump, who keeps her at a distance...but also makes her feel like this bond between them might be more than just an act.

Being dumped on cue should be no big deal. Except being fake with Patrick is the realist relationship Norah has ever had. What’s a girl to do but flip the script, and ask for a re-match made in Hollywood?

Fake kept me up late reading because I could not put this story down. I adored Patrick and Norah, the fun, the banter...all the sweetness. Not to mention the heat! Kylie Scott delivers again!" (Carly Phillips, New York Times best-selling author)

“Kylie Scott has been one of my favorite authors for years. Her way with words, and her ability to make me fall in love with men I know I shouldn’t but do anyways, has always been the recipe for the perfect read for me. I absolutely loved Fake, and it was easy with brooding alpha Patrick and quirky lovable Norah. The two of them together are a match made in book heaven. I couldn’t put this book down once I started and know everyone will feel the same.” (Aurora Rose Reynolds, New York Times best-selling author)

“Kylie Scott proves once again why she is one of my auto-buy authors. Fake is an absolute delight...for every woman who wished her celebrity crush would fall madly in love with her. Fake is romance gold from one of the genre’s best!" (Naima Simone, USA Today best-selling author)

"Grumpy megastar hero whose rare smiles bring out all the warm and fuzzies, and the upbeat, every girl heroine he never saw coming." (Ally Blake)

Loved it

I listened to it the entire day and have basically zero complaints. Only thing I’ll say is that I wish it was a longer book and the story spread out a bit with more details. It felt a tad rushed but was an excellent story.

A FAKE - FOREVER ROMANCE DONE SO DELICIOUSLY RIGHT

I do love a good ‘fake’ relationship where boundaries deliciously blurr and emotions get real.. and Norah and Patrick’s story was all I’d hoped for - and much more. A drool-worthy Hollywood Actor with a damaged career because of a bad reputation and the hardworking good girl financially stretched Waitress who turns that bad boy around. Yes, it’s pretty predictable - awkward start.. staged touches and kisses.. a solid friendship forms.. and sparks ignite into a fire as the closed-off actor slowly opens up to a down-to-earth woman. But folks, it’s also a very enjoyable, very charming and very addictive listen told from Norah’s POV. There’s a wonderful anticipation as feelings slowly change and finally they open-up, own up and reach the same page.. but what is true and what is false? Will Patrick choose his ex when she comes back on the scene? Will he choose his rekindled career when, and if, he gets the call this’fake’ has all been for? Or will time simply run out for the happy couple?

Worth a credit? Yes it was great. Andi Arndt did a great job bringing the straight-talking, loving, selfless, out-of-her-depth Waitress to life bringing with her the emotional dilemmas and lustful “never going to happen “ temptations that are front and center since moving in with her broody, sexy, generous, handsome, hot fake fiancé.

This was Kylie Scott perfection 🥰

I always enjoy her books and could not wait until this came out in audio. It was perfectly written with just enough drama to keep you engaged enough sweetness to make you swoon enough of a protective male hero to make you want to grab him and take him home lol Add all this to great narration and you have a 10 🌟listen. This is going on the repeat list.

If you loved Repeat and Pause, love this one too

I really enjoyed this book. I will admit I am not a fan of the Stage Dive series but this one was a good change. It was a really sweet employee to friends-to-lovers story. It had some of the best elements of what made Kylie's books Pause and Repeat so good. That was a lot of the reason I enjoyed it so much. Out of all her books, those were my favorite, and with this one, you get the same feeling you felt with them. Ok, the rest of this contains some spoilers (but not the ending. ;) ) so you've been warned. Nora is a waitress in a cafe that famous movie star, Patrick, likes to come into. One night she is offered a chance to play his faux girlfriend to help get him out of a situation his own ignorance (that's the little head most guys have) got him into. To do this she has to take a break from all her jobs, move in with him, and pretend they are in love. I'm going to leave it there since I'm pretty sure most of you can see where this is going. :) So if you enjoyed Repeat and Pause take a chance on this one. You won't be sorry.

Kinda Slow

It’s an OK read, but didn’t do much for me. Maybe it’s was the one POV and that for much of the book you couldn’t tell what was going on in Patrick’s head…kinda dragged things out until he opened up making it slow. I read a similar book with dual POV’s and that really helped.

Steamy scenes to forever to get to and, while good, were pretty minimal.

Reminds me why I love Kylie Scott

It says "Book 1" and I CAN'T WAIT for Book 2, 3, 4 and more!! I loved this book and I love Kylie Scott. Andi Arndt is amazing (as usual). Completely worth the credit if you want a good romance. My only complaint is that it was too short. I wanted more of Patrick and Norah.

Excellent book

Mostly my favorite books or anything based close to wall of winnipeg and me.

This one headed out of the park my only complaint would be I wish it was a little bit longer epilogue, I wish the author did a second book on this couple. Andi Arendt did an excellent excellent excellent job!!

This book was well written all around I definitely will have it in my favorites if I ever get into a slum I can’t listen to a book this is the one I would definitely listen again and again and again and again!!!

I absolutely love the stalker scene that was amazing like definitely keep you on your toes I’m not going to spoil anything. Buy it you won’t regret it

Another Miss..

Patrick and Nora. The movie star and the waitress who had a “Fake” relationship for the sake of the movie star who needed a change in his celebrity life. It’s not a new concept and could have worked so much better if the H in the story, Patrick, had even a bit of a personality. But unfortunately, he did not. Also, because it was told through the h’s POV, it was totally lacking. Not being a fan of Andi Arendt, didn’t help my not liking this story. It was an easy read. Maybe too easy as I fell asleep for 5 or 7 chapters and didn’t miss anything. Do read at your own risk. You’ve been warned.
