Publisher's Summary

I’ve tried to like Adrian Savage, the mercurial frontman for Fugitive Summer, while serving as his band’s opening act on tour. We’re stuck together for three months, after all. And I’m well aware I’m lucky to be here.

But it’s proved impossible. He’s far too rude and dismissive a guy to get along with. And way too good at getting under my skin. In fact, at this point, I think it’s fair to say I downright hate his guts.

Global thirst trap that he is, though, I’m finding it extremely difficult not to want to jump Savage’s bones, despite how much he infuriates me. I hate myself for it. But my body is going rogue on me. It doesn’t matter, though. I’m determined to resist him.

In fact, what I’ve decided is that, as long as I’m here and stuck with him, I’m not only going to give Savage the sound tongue lashing nobody else around here has the balls to deliver, I’m going to bring that bad boy to his knees.

Hot and sexy

As always Jacob Morgan and Andi Arndt do an amazing job getting into these character's heads. Savage is a sizzling hot rocker and Jacob brings his game. He is also fantastic at doing Laila's voice.

I loved how Savage's song Hate Sex High was incorporated into the audio. So kudos to Lauren Rowe for doing that.

There are no words to describe Savage, on second thought HELL YES there are. He is deliciously seductive, sensual and the sexiest aphrodisiac a woman could ever want. He is the epitome of a true Rockstar. He latches eyes with Laila and he is instantly hooked on her like a drug. But Laila is a feisty ballsy woman and does not fall to her knees for the Rockstar like 99% of the women he meets. They end up sparring back and forth with over the top sexual tension. These two are so flammable together I am surprised they haven't self-combusted.

Just wow !!

Love it. From the beginning until the end. Perfect balance with both character in terms of building this hate *shitshow* Can't wait to see it all unravel in the second book.

Narration on both Jacob Morgan and Andi Arndt was perfect.

+ as most comment to date have mentionned, the song at the end, in line with the book is just perfect. The fact they actually made a song of it is even better.

Enjoy

5 Really Big Stars! Narration is amazing!

Oh my goodness! Lauren Rowe has done it again. I absolutely LOVED Falling out of Hate with you. It is very much a slow burn but oh so worth it! I can't get enough of Layla & Savage. Thank goodness Falling into Love with You comes out tomorrow. Not sure I could wait any longer! Andi Arndt & Jacob Morgan narrating this book perfectly. Their chemistry is insane!

Zachary Webber. Andi Arndt. Lauren Rowe. I mean.!!

The narration, the story, the SONG!!! I freaking adore Lauren Rowe's writing and having two of my absolute favorite narrators bring her story to life is the cherry on my sundae. I was hooked from the beginning as it is expected with any Lauren Rowe boom and the END!!! It is a cliffhanger so make sure you're ready to jump into the second book right after. I AM CERTAIN the ending.... the song.... Oh. My. Freaking. Sex god. Talk about hotness x 100000000!!!!

❤️ - I NEED BOOK TWO STAT - ❤️

OMG Lauren, I’m fan-girling right now over the sexy af song Hate Sex High at the end of the book.. which I’ve now listened to far far too many times... and all I can do is wipe my drool and sigh!! Anyhoo, this Book was freakin delicious with sizzling chemistry and unwanted attraction flaring between a Player Rock God and a newbie on the scene and stage. And, as Savage and Laila ignore, anger, banter, miscommunicate and secretly lust over each other while on tour - and way beyond, they lie to each other.. and to themselves. Despite being passionately drawn to each other, they are both ridiculously stubborn too.. but how long can deny.. deny.. deny last for? There’s been fireworks and feels and a sexy one-time thing.. so now that they’ve struck a tentative bargain together.. let’s see where ‘fake’ takes them.. fangirl scream I can’t wait.

Jacob and Andi did a great job and were the perfect fit for the feisty hero and heroine with their barbed banter.. and Aiden Chance’s Fugitive Summer song.. well, I’m listening to it yet again as I type this🤭 😜😉🥰 . This dual POV first book ends on a tbc keep you guessing cliffy.

Worth a credit? Yup, I loved it.. and I’m sooo excited for Monday when Book 2 is out... yippee

Great beginning to a wonderful duo of books!

I loved both Laila and Savage, and how well written their conflict is in the beginning. Narration was perfect. This is a don’t miss book!

sadly disappointed 😞

I love Lauren Rowe. She's a one click. Multiple reads and listens to every one of her books over and over. Jacob Morgan carried this book for me. Andi fell short. The songs were great as in Fish. I applaud the brilliance in LR's artistic music ability and meshing it into the story. I can only imagine the time and studio effort it took to layer all of that together, so bravo on that note. The story was repetitive. Non stop repetitive. Shall I say repetitive one more time? Predictable. Lacked the plot line and character depth I expect and worship Ms. Rowe for. Too much of the same events repeated through out and explained to other characters. I actually struggled to finish it, but did out of respect and so much love for this author. It pains me to even write this, but I'm being true to myself in my review and took several days to ponder. I think the story was forgotten in the midst of the music genius and new ground breaking territory there. Maybe it was just me- others loved it.

Excellent

Jacob Morgan’s narration was spot on! His voices for the other characters were perfect and added a special element to the story. Andi Arndt is a great narrator but I didn’t get anything special from this performance.

I loved Savage’s interaction with Amalia! The song is great and adds to the book in a unique way.

I love all Lauren Rowe’s books and this one (duet) doesn’t disappoint.
I’ve already read both books and now I’m halfway through the audio versions, off to listen to book 2.

Love this book

The love hate story of Laila and Savage. What can I say. Savage is sexy as hell, he’s kind and loving underneath the “typical” bravado of a rock star. Laila is beautiful, sassy and a flirt. How hard can it be just to admit they want each other..... after a steamy romp together they still can admit it.

The song HATE SEX HIGH by fugitive summer. I purchased the album HATE:LOVE from Apple Music. It has so many good songs too.

Thankyou for writing more in the spin-offs Lauren Rowe. I’ve enjoyed all of them. Keep them coming.

Hot romance between 2 celebrities

This story is part of the River records group and thankfully is just a duet and not a trilogy with excess fluff. Still wish it had been one large book but eventually it will be bundled. Still very engaging characters and great narration. Timeline a bit off with reading materials mentioned in dialogue but a would recommend

Savage and Laila

Well of course Lauren has done it again. This story has all the feels and fun loving characters, including some of our favorites from the past. I love these characters so much. Lauren’s musical background enhances her insight to music stories and that song... OMG I loved it! I recommend this story, it is book 1 of a duet. Narration is totally on point.
