"Plum Parrot" writes capably, choreographs combat well, and has great descriptive skills. Less fortunately, he shifts POV seemingly randomly and his PCs are truly yawnworthy. I wonder if the author got bored writing these characters and kept switching to someone else's experiences merely to keep himself from falling asleep.
As to presentation: reader Christian J. Gilliland is a talented voice-actor (this book often sounds like a full cast).. but some of his chosen character interpretations are disappointingly cartoonish. He also reads with a rapid-fire staccato cadence that becomes annoyingly noticeable after awhile. In toto, Podium Audio Inc. present an "average" narrator. Don't get me wrong, Gilliland is a genuine professional, but the producers could have gotten equally effective results from any SAG-AFTRA performer in their stable.
Altogether, 'Falling With Folded Wings: A LitRPG Progression Fantasy' merits 5 stars out of 10. You could do worse if you can get the audiobook for free, I submit.. but spend your Credit on something else if they ask for one.
