Publisher's Summary
I have to trap the most evil, worst bad dude in existence without actually turning him to ash. So, what's a Vampyre to do?
For starters, enter an undead beauty pageant - in Oklahoma, where the hair is jacked and the contestants are busty and brainless.
My name is Venus. I'm a 200-year-old killing machine, and I'm trading in my daggers and sword for a sparkly dress and an obscene swimsuit. Tiny strips of Lycra are not my typical battle wear, but when in Oklahoma...
Armed with a fairly decent attitude, two debatably heterosexual insane old ladies, a woman I'd wanted to kill less than eight hours ago, and the possible love of my undead life, I'm in over my head with this. Of course I have no clue what this is going to entail, but that's never stopped me before.
I'm learning quickly nothing is as it seems - not my past and least of all my future. With the not-so-angelic Angels watching our every move and more butt glue, lipstick, and hairspray than I knew existed, I'm gonna take my fate by the balls and twist. Hard.
In a race with death for the cursed life of the man I'm falling in love with, there's no room for error. Especially when I can't decide if I'd rather head butt him or jump his sexy bones.
Mixed up in a tangled trap of spotlights, sequins, and seduction, I'm gunning for a crown and my happily ever after with the arrogant alpha-hole who makes me feel alive.
And the winner is...
Hopefully me.

Worst Narrator Ever
You were so determined to find a black sounding narrator that you completely ignored the fact that this narrator sounded geriatric. I have no interest in listening to a grandmother reading a sex scene. Are we really supposed to believe that the hot woman on the cover sounds like this. Its awful. I've been waiting for this book for what seems like forever and I can't stomach listening to it.

That Voice...
I've loved this series. Mostly because it's so damn funny. But the narrator made it so difficult to laugh through this.

The narrator completely killed this book for me. It was like listening to Grandmas reading porn!

Narrator is horrible
What could have made this a 4 or 5-star listening experience for you?
story line was so drawn out, the narrator sounded so fake - Robyn tried too hard and failed on this
What do you think your next listen will be?
loved the series but don't change up the narrator and chill with the going off on tangents.
Would you be willing to try another one of Audrey Lusk’s performances?
no
If you could play editor, what scene or scenes would you have cut from Fashionably Fanged?
Martha and Jane side lines were too long
Any additional comments?
do over

Narration killed this book!
Would you try another book from Robyn Peterman and/or Audrey Lusk?
I love the series, but the narrator seemed new at her job. It just sounded like Ms. Lusk did not have know how, to bring this story to life. I tried but could not listen to the entire story!
What was the most interesting aspect of this story? The least interesting?
It was a good story.
Would you be willing to try another one of Audrey Lusk’s performances?
No not without more training, I need expression to come out in story telling. Sadly she does not have that skill mastered. If she is a new narrator, maybe with time she will get better.
Could you see Fashionably Fanged being made into a movie or a TV series? Who should the stars be?
no.

I’m a Black woman. Why this narrator?
The narrators voice was horrible. I don’t know why she sounds like an old person. Was the narrator change so that you could have a “black voice?” She sounded perfectly fine in the other books. As a black woman, I object. I hope I don’t sound like this to people. I imagine that I don’t. So, why would you use this voice for somebody who looks like me? Bad decision. Ruined a great book and a great series for me. I was so looking forward to hearing Venus‘s story. I’ll skip ahead to the next book.

Narrator Sounds Like a Drunk Maya Angelou
What is the world was going through the mind of the person who decided this drastic change in narrative style was necessary? First of all, we have heard Venus talking throughout this books so why change the narrator at all? Was it some sort of politically correct thing? Frankly, it was insulting on so many levels. I am quite certain you could have found a narrator, if you had to change, who was African American and didn't sound like a cross between Maya Angelou and a 70-year-old church lady from the south. The cadence of the speech was like the rhythm of I Know Why the Caged Bird Sings meets beauty shop gossip in some hyper-stereotypical riff off of Big Mama's House! Also, Gareth sounds like Mr. Magoo. I just can't.
The story is good. All Ms. Peterman's books in this series are outstanding.. DO NOT BUY THIS AUDIO BOOK!
The. Absolute. Worst. Thing. Ever.
