Fabulous Information! Well Worth the Listen

I loved this audible. The information presented in Dr. Mercola's book is so informative. And for me, listening to this book was the best possible way to absorb this type of information. My mom recommended it to me, and I am now recommending it to everyone else.

a great read... valuable information

Full of valuable information. This is a healthful guide that shares how to get started to live a healthier life. Dr Mercola breaks it down into easy to achieve steps, and explains the processes in easy to understand language. While it would have been a more difficult book for me to read though, it was very easy to listen to and understand. If you have been thinking of trying a high fat low carb diet , I encourage you to listen to this book.

A real eye opener

I’m implementing most of Dr. Mercola’s strategies and they’re working for me when nothing else has. I’m down 30 lbs. and feel like I did when I was in my 30s. I’m 66!!! Thanks ♥️

fantastic book.

I learnt a lot related to biology and how my body works as a complete system. I will likely listen to this one again soon.

If you want a summary of information about the keto diet and how to implement it then this is a good book

Nothing new is said or covered in my opinion if you follow podcasts and blogs on this topic

But I still enjoyed it

revolutionary

I wish I would have learned this stuff 30 years ago. #mislead. #liedto. This should be what's taught in early school nutrition classes.

Every school should teach all that is in this book

Narrator was perfect to listen to. Why did I have to wait until I was 70 to hear how I could have prevented all this medicine and bypass operation?

A waste of time.

Very thin on science and very heavy on anecdotes and "you should trust me" argument. The whole approach so complicated, you need to quit your job to do it. He mentioned 2 books by Jason Fung in this title, i've finished them both and suggest you to read them instead of this mess.

Good material

While this book contains good information, it is just a repeat of what many other books on the subject covers. I do not think it is as well presented as books written by David Perlmutter and Maria Emmerich for examples.

Nothing new..

If you are already familiar with the benefits of a keto diet, this book doesn't have much to offer. Nothing new. I valued all the principles outlined in the book, and I'm a strong believer in a high-fat, low-carb lifestyle - but I had hoped this book would have new insights or science advancements to share.

Outstanding synthesis

If you could sum up Fat for Fuel in three words, what would they be?

Empowering dietary insights

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

Yes, it's a fascinating listen. No doubt parts of it will be shown to be inaccurate as the volume of clinical and scientific study in this area expands over the coming decade. But my overriding impression is of a masterful synthesis of key concepts and new information available on the opportunity to improve health through nutrition. It is shocking and sobering to discover (through reading this and related titles over the past couple of years) how much the dogmatic dietary advice of the past four or five decades remains at issue at its very core. So it is with a sense of relief that you can have much of the confusion addressed by this reconceptualisation of new and old information. Thankyou to the author for the effort that has gone into making this available.
