À propos de cet audio

Gary Mooser is nearly finished with his dual doctorate in Philosophy and Religious Studies. His girlfriend, Danielle Fifner, and he visit Dyersville, Iowa, home of a registered Basilica, the subject of Gary's dissertation. They also will visit the field of dreams, the baseball field from the Kevin Costner movie from 1989. They both love baseball and it's one of Danielle's favorite movies.

The dissertation work goes well. Gary gets lucky and meets a priest in the parish who also grew up in Dyersville. He tours the basilica with Father Reficul, and Danielle and he have lunch with the priests at the rectory. Although everything seems great, even surreal, Gary gets a strange feeling about St. Francis that he can't explain. Regardless, Dani and he are having a special time together.

On Sunday, the couple heads to the baseball field for a "ghost game," a BBQ, and a special moment Gary secretly has planned for Dani. Once again, the day is perfect and Danielle and Gary are inseparable. On the drive back to town, their car somehow ends up in a ditch, and Gary and Danielle begin to walk back to town. Their cell phones don't have service, it's really dark, and not a car passes by.

When they finally do see a car, Danielle waves her cell phone for the driver to see. He does and they are rescued. Gary and Danielle drive back to Dyersville with Father Reficul. He stops at the basilica, leaving Danielle and Gary with no option other than to follow him into the church.

What happens next leaves the couple wondering what's real and what's a dream...this can't be real...or can it?
