CAUTION, SPOILERS AHEAD ⚠️ I was hoping for another amazing story after just finishing the first one in the series. Unfortunately I think Fighting Shadows just had a lot of the tropes I hate. Alpha male with aggression problems (constantly pushing female main character around, not letting her leave), insta-forever love (wants to be with her forever and marry her after spending 30 days together, it’s not really clear WHY except that they both want to bone each other and maybe trauma bonding?). And stalking. Ya for real, he hires a PI to tack her down for THREE YEARS and then aggressively confronts her in a homeless shelter. Like wtf? I won’t be continuing in this story, what a disappointment as the first one was great.
