Publisher's Summary
Nino Cipri's Finna is a rambunctious, touching story that blends all the horrors the multiverse has to offer with the everyday awfulness of low-wage work. It explores queer relationships and queer feelings, capitalism and accountability, labor and love, all with a bouncing sense of humor and a commitment to the strange.
When an elderly customer at a Swedish big box furniture store - but not that one - slips through a portal to another dimension, it's up to two minimum-wage employees to track her across the multiverse and protect their company's bottom line. Multi-dimensional swashbuckling would be hard enough, but those two unfortunate souls broke up a week ago.
To find the missing granny, Ava and Jules will brave carnivorous furniture, swarms of identical furniture spokespeople, and the deep resentment simmering between them. Can friendship blossom from the ashes of their relationship? In infinite dimensions, all things are possible.

A very happy trans nerd🤓
As a sci-fi nerd, trans-enby minimum wage worker, this story felt like something out of another universe.. one where real representation existed within the spec/sci-if genre!! Thank You Nino Cipri! I will be eagerly seeking out and waiting for all current and future works of yours💖

Interesting world, I'd like more!
I bought this on the enthusiasm of some reviewers and it's Hugo and Nebula noms. I found the concept interesting, and enjoyed the characters, angst and all. I'd be interested in reading a followup if they decide to write one.
The narration was fine overall, though it could have stood some editing where there were some slightly long breaks that took you a little out of the flow.

A must read. Queer sci-fi magic.
I want to buy this book for so many people in my life. A personal look at a deeply American working class strife set in a magical realist multiverse that you never want to leave.

Wanted to love it...but didn't
The performance was well done, but you can't fix that with a broken storyline. It was so forced and by the end of the book, I disliked the main character so much (how entitled can you possibly be?) that it was hard to finish. I understand suspending reality in order to enjoy a good read, but this book asked me to suspend judgment for characters that deserved it. The ending was a complete disappointment.

Fabulous Sci-fi for late stage capitalism
This completely hit home with me as we all feel like our work lives are a weird and brutal alternate reality. Where risking life and limb might be worth a gift card from HQ

great idea
The arguing was too much for me. I appreciate a complicated relationship, but it got in the way.

Interdimentional Adventure
A surprisingly (for how short this book was) layered sci-fi adventure with touches of horror and romantic possibilities. Reminiscent of Grady Hendrix’s Horrorstore, but lighter and with more swashbuckling. This story starts with Ava & Jules mired in the torture of retail work, ex drama, and mental health difficulties. Having to work on your day off is bad enough, but when an elderly customer gets lost in a wormhole, Ava gets to add interdimensional travel, on foot, with her ex, to the suckage. Things can only go up from there, right?

Stuck in Ikea (but not)
This is a fun, quick listen about two exes who must work together to find a missing granny who fell through a wormhole that suddenly opened in their Big Box Swedish furniture store. A great look at relationships, being honest with yourself and finding what really matters in this universe - and others. Ava (she/her) and Jules (they/them) had enough issues to break up, but can they work together to find the missing customer... and maybe find themselves in the process?
