Publisher's Summary

A magical selection of stories by one of the world's best-loved children's authors, Enid Blyton.

This collection of over 50 stories brings together three of Enid Blyton's earliest and most imaginative story collections - The Book of Fairies (1924), The Book of Brownies (1926) and The Book of Pixies (1989) - and shows Blyton at her most imaginative and playful.

A good collection, subject to tiresome censorship by humourless editors

When I first bought this, it contained the humorously-titled story “The Land of Great Stupids”. I now find it has been stealth-edited to remove all mentions of “stupids”, replacing them with “sillies”. Sure, it’s a minor thing, but it’s still frustrating that such humourless editors are diminishing the fun of the book.
