This is a well written book but it's not quite what I was expecting. It's very focused on relational dynamics and detail oriented which is what I typically enjoy. Yet, the main hurdle the characters need to overcome is themselves. I would've been more entertained if there was an added mystery or obstacles outside the relationship they needed to overcome. It would have given the book some intrigue and mystery. There is a bit of foreshadowing in the book but it's mostly at the end. Therefore, at times, the story can seem a bit bland or repetitive since the hero and heroine personalities aren't very complex. By saying this, I'm NOT saying there isn't emotional layering or character development. There is and it's fairly well done. The young girl character is very well written. The book is interesting. I just think there needed to b a bit of added 'zing' to create intrigue. The narration is good and helps give the relational dynamics more context.
